Really nice decor and menu. Service was almost non existent in the restaurant area. Food took a while (40 mins) to come out which I understand if it’s busy, but there were only 2 other tables (also long waits/service issues)Food was pretty decent so I have no complaints there. After plates were taken from mains, no staff were to be seen ie ‘would you like coffee/desserts/bills etc’When a member of staff finally appeared and we asked for the bill, we were told ‘I’m on my break the now’ before getting the tab, and proceeded to have their meal in the restaurant. Not an issue with staff having a break, but when you’ve waited ages for any staff to appear and you ask for the bill that’s not a good answer or look. Waited a further 15-20 minutes before I had to go get the staff in the front bar to send someone in so we could pay our bill. A little bit of attentiveness in the restaurant would go a long way.

Very poor service, waited over an hour for our main course, did not order a first course steak and veg look warm, one order had to be sent back as cold, would not recommend this place for food.

They never had a lot of things on their menu. We never got our food for an hour after we ordered it. My parents liked thier food. My dish of smoked haddock with mashed potatoes and a sauce had far too much sauce and was more like a soup! I couldn't see any mashed as it disappeared into the sauce. To be fair to them I didn't complain about it as I was very hungry and it took 1 hour to get the food in the first place. The white wine was very nice. We never ordered dessert as they ran out of vanilla ice cream. They were nice enough not to charge for a dessert my son ordered for different ice cream flavours. We would have spent more but most of us didn't get dessert

Warm, cosy complete with log fire ?. The atmosphere was chilled and relaxing. The food was amazing ,desserts what a choice . I will be back as I need to try them all. Staff friendly and attentive. Lauren and the young man went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely time. We will be back. Thank you

Only there for a 2 drinks after many years away. Found it very tired and in need of some tlc. Also got hard stares from regulars, which made us feel quite unwelcome. Don't know if I'd rush back. That said, the bar staff were welcoming and helpful.

Gave this places a go a few times food has little to no taste to it just looks like a big pile of cheap frozen ingredients tossed on a plate service is very slow from front of house service was non existent. The amount of dog hairs is really bad my son dropped something and when I picked it up was completely covered in hair wouldn't use again.

A great local pub with friendly staff, cracking food (new menu dropping this week!) And a tremendous whisky selection with a very knowledgeable man called Conner who can guide you through them all.

Absolutely fantastic atmosphere. Friendly staff. Tried many food options of vegetarian option. All did not disappoint. Dog friendly and the staff are very welcoming.

Went here for a meal with some friends, the staff were great, but the food not so great, taste was very bland, presentation was awful, its not restaurant quality, more of a pub grub..
