We had a delightful few days staying at Isla Bank House where we were made very welcome. The whole house is impressive and our room was particularly comfortable with its lovely views and a sense that we had our own wing of the house! We attended a wedding during our stay but a late return to the B&B was not a problem. We also enjoyed a lovely evening meal there one evening - a bonus option when staying in a B&B.

My husband to be spent the night before our wedding here and also him and his best men got ready here. We then spent the night of the wedding here. Vena and nick were marvellous hosts and made us feel so welcome. The added bonus was having our photos taken here. We 100% recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning.

We totally understand why this venue has so many brilliant reviews ! The house is quirky and full of character. The hosts were absolutely delightful and were so keen to facilitate our stay ! A flask of fresh milk was supplied for the in room kettle, toiletries could be supplied if required and there was an amusing, but necessary, note in the bathroom informing one that the water would take up to 4 minutes to arrive ( not a problem when one is forewarned! ) Based on the delicious well cooked breakfast our only regret is that we didn’t take up the opportunity to eat dinner there the previous evening. If in the area, we d certainly return to this establishment.

We had a really amazing stay here. Definitely a place to stay for a few days and really properly unwind. The house itself is absolutely stunning and Vena and Nick are fabulous hosts and couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and relaxed. Nick can also give you lots of stories about the history of the house too if you're interested. Definitely have dinner with them during your stay- the food was delicious and they catered for my dietary needs readily. The beds were super comfy and the house and setting so quiet that we came away very well rested and refreshed; we didn't want to leave! Lots to do in the local area, especially if you're interested in whisky. You do need a car though, as a lot of the attractions are not easily accessible by public transport.

Wonderful stay at Isla Bank. Convivial hosts, delicious meals and a stunning characterful house. Our room was full of charm, tastefully decorated and perfect for a good night's sleep.The house and gardens are a real labour of love. The effort the owners have put in to restore its former grandeur really shows.Isla Bank is well located away from the main road with its own private and secluded grounds. The historic Strathisla Distillery is a couple of minutes walk, and well worth a visit. A local volunteer run heritage railway runs several daily services to Dufftown in Summer months.

Definitely have dinner with them during your stay- the food was delicious and they catered for my dietary needs readily. Drinks in the bar after dinner are also a real treat! Everything is very clean and covid-secure. There's lots to do in the local area, especially if you're interested in whisky. Cullen is particularly worth a visit. A car is already recommended though, as a lot of the attractions are not easily accessible by public transport. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be going back!

What a lovely stay we had at Isla Bank House! We visited when we were on our honeymoon last month. Nick and Vena were the most attentive and welcoming hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the Woods Suite which was beautifully decorated and very cosy and welcoming. On our first night staying there, we had our evening meal there, which was beautiful. Nick and Vena use home grown products wherever possible, which certainly made the food even more delicious! We spent the rest of the evening in the bar area playing Monopoly! We were able to order drinks very easily using their website. Nick gave us many recommendations for what to see and visit in the area. Whatever you’re interested in, I am sure Nick will be able to recommend something for you! There was a very wide selection of food for breakfast, and this was a great time to sit and talk to other guests. We already can’t wait to come back next year. Thank you once again Nick and Vena for making our stay very very special.

Everything about this place was amazing as the bedroom was gorgeous with an absolutely comfy bed, the bathroom was amazing with a deep bath with plenty of hot water. They hosts supplied bubble bath, shower gel, shampoo, body lotion and soap. In the bedroom was a complimentary measure each of some tasty whisky. The evening meal was superb with good quality ingredients. The fruit and veg is from the hosts garden and they purchase the other ingredients from local sources. The cooked breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast, mushrooms, hash browns, sausages and bacon were delicious too. There is no television in the bedroom but my boyfriend and I didn't mind in the slightest as we just wined, dined and played cards in the sitting room. There is a television in the sitting room but we didn't use it as we were enjoying each other's company.

Vena and Nick couldn't have been more welcoming to their home. We enjoyed a bottle of wine in the lovely gardens before eating delicious homemade food in the dining room - we had the shepherds pie and mushroom burger followed by rhubarb crumble for two. The rooms are furnished to impeccable standard and extremely clean. We stayed in the Tower Room and can't recommend it enough for a romantic weekend break. Thank you!!

After what felt like an eternity driving up to Keith last week opening the door into the Isla Suite was a very pleasant surprise indeed. Room was superb in every way, especially liked the complementary glasses of Chivas Regal which was a very nice touch. We had a three night stay which included evening meals (not to be missed), the food was especially worthy of mention, much of it fresh from the garden and served with a smile (we think - Covid masks!!) Breakfast at the Isla Bank was a great way to start the day offering a wide selection of wonderfully cooked food. Vena and Nick made us feel very welcome from the outset and helped to make our visit to Scotland a truly memorable one! Will be heading back soon for another helping of their crumble & custard. I would just like to clarify my disappointment after your response Nick on TripAdvisor as I cannot reply to your response. Firstly, I think there may be a glitch in your breakfast order link as we did order Earl Grey tea and fresh orange juice. Further there was no option to order tea and preserves, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals or pastries. These are all options I would expect in a luxury B & B. The free gift you stated in your email, for re-booking, would be in our room...I quote "We will also include a complementary gift in your room as a thank you for taking a voucher instead of a cash refund." We did not leave breakfast "unexpectedly" but hung around expecting some toast to appear but when we heard you serving guests breakfast in the adjoining room we left as again you had stated that due to Covid regulations you are not able to return to our table once you have started serving other guests... I quote "once we begin serving the next guest will not be able to return to your room again until breakfast is finished." I hope this further clarifies our dissatisfaction with our stay.
