We biked up yesterday afternoon for a fly cup. What a great choice of treats! The lemon cake was fabulous, light-as-a-feather sponge with tangy lemon and a yummy bakewell tart, washed gown with a pot of tea, excellent ?Parking: Bike stands on the station platform beside the dining car were easy to use.

We had an incredible mother’s day afternoon tea today. Atmosphere is lovely, Staff were all brilliant with one of the owners/chef Anya coming to check on tables personally. Food was exceptional, best afternoon tea I’ve ever had by far. I will definitely be recommending the sidings to all family and friends. Keep up the amazing work Anya, Darren & Staff!Kid-friendliness: High chairs available. Staff were friendly and interactive with the kids

A great little café in an old train wagon. The service is great, we even got to speak some German with the waitress. Must visit!

This is a super place to have a meal. The food and service are excellent along with the novelty of eating in a railway carriage. Highly recommended.

Always a great place to go but their opening for Christmas meals goes way beyond. Fantastic meal and great value, Darren and Anya go above and beyond, decorations and ambience are second to none. Waiting staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend at any time of the year but at this time is it just so so good.

UPDATE. Not dog friendly! Don't waiste your time.FURTHER UPDATE (in reply to your response): You're reply is contradictory with what your staff informed my friends & I. Rather than an unheated carriage, we were offered to sit outside on your picnic benches in the drizzle. If what you say if true, it would be well advised to reiterate these rules to your staff to avoid such inconveniences in the future. Many thanks.

Nice wee cafe amongst the train carriages. We went a little late so not much of the specials left. Had their scone, quiche of the day, soup of the day and sandwiches. Leek and Tattie Soup was lovely. Quiche was nice and crumbly.

We are a group of 8 and stopped by for lunch. The service was great and the food was perfect. It’s hard to believe that a ham sandwich on white could taste so good. The soup was also excellent. Now the above and beyond. My wife planned a surprise 60th bday party for me that night…our guide contacted our waitress at the Sidings and asked if she could make a cake. The cake was incredible. Above and way beyond.

We called in when we were recently in Dufftown and luckily we managed to get a table. We had tea, scones and a cake and everything was delicious. Friendly staff. Lovely experience.
