A very nice weekend stay during our whiskey tours. The rooms were clean, breakfast and dinner perfect and not to forget a very friendly couple made it even more pleasant to stay and visit them again. Thank you for this nice weekend!

We stayed here for The Dramathon running event. It was a comfortable room with a nice big shower (perfect for after a long run!) and the breakfast choices were great! I particularly enjoyed the creamy scrambled eggs with smoked salmon.

It was great to get a wee break away after the past year and very impressed with the service during our 3 night stay. Louise and James were very friendly hosts and encouraged our laziness by arranging dinner for each evening and the Whisky trail tour which was good fun. Ealeen provided great breakfast service and a cheery smile and welcome each morning, assisted by Poppy the first day! Thanks for a really welcoming and enjoyable stay. Jim and Charlotte

We showed up without a reservation in mid November, they had a room available. It was a great little place. The whisky bar was well stocked and a perfect little nook for a drink. The breakfast was amazing as and the owners were perfectly friendly but not in your space. Loved it and look forward to returning.

I booked this guest house for my parents who were going up to Dufftown for a weekend trip. The owners were really lovely and helpful when I was making the booking and kindly offered up suggestions of things my parents could do during their visit. My parents informed me that they had a wonderful stay here and would definitely be back again. They said the breakfast was great and they really loved the whiskey bar and cosy open fire! They said again how lovely the owners were too and spoke highly of their entire stay at the Tannochbrae Guest House :)

The hotel is very old and there is no longer any investment in it. The current operators work in a different profession and continue to run their parents' hotel but without them being present or investing. Kitchen is no longer offered. Unfortunately, the very good reviews from previous years no longer reflect the current condition... Unfortunately, I don't recommend the hotel at this price... it's more like a bad BB with a renovation backlog on every corner.

A key part of the best day of our Scotland Road Trip 2019! Beautiful people here. Lovely rooms with lovely details. Clean and comfy. Very hospitable from the outset. Prompt and friendly answers to inquiries after booking. As we were arriving a little earlier than check-in, we called ahead to give them eta as requested. Greeted with smiles and made to feel right at home. We were mid way through 2 week trip and had planned on doing laundry the day before, but unable due to circumstances. When we asked about any launderette in the area, instead of a dry yes or no answer, the proprietors took it upon themselves to assist us with our quandary. Totally unexpected! And VERY appreciated!! Beds were very comfy!! Breakfast was yum! Would definitely recommend and stay again. Great ambassadors for Dufftown ?

Lovely period house with beautiful original features & wonderful furniture. Clean & very comfortable spacious bedrooms. Tasty, fresh food at breakfast. A lovely welcoming atmosphere & also the added bonus of a whisky bar & the expert knowledge of James who clearly is very passionate & loves to educate his guests on the various whiskies. We were a party of seven in three rooms for two nights & would highly recommend a stay here.

This hotel is, in my opinion, more like a B&B, with the B&B charm but most of the amenities of a hotel. The owners and staff were extremely accommodating and friendly, great stay. Central location and walking distance to almost everything in town.

Stayed for one night with my son while golfing in the area. Nice place, great location in the town and very welcoming staff. Really good breakfast. Didn't manage to sample the whisky but visited their bar which is authentic and impressive. I'd definitely stay again. If there on a Monday night, visit the 'Stramash' at the nearby British Legion, local traditional musicians having fun every Monday night. Very welcoming.

Brilliant, lovely room and hosts. We were fortunate to be able to grab the last room when myself and my wife came across Dufftown on our last night. We were greeted exceptionally well and were made to feel at home in seconds. We were on things to do (including the infamous stills) and she couldn't have been more helpful. (Apologies - can't remember your name :/) The room was beautiful, lovely and spacious with a brilliant bathroom. We slept like logs. Breakfast was brilliant but maybe a tad sow, and it was a bit disappointing to not get a few drams in from the selection. Other than that we'd definitely be back.
