The breakfast here is the best in Scotland. Full Scottish. Hot and very tasty.The room was clean and warm, BUT it was let down by being a bit dark with the grey mural and grey walls. No sockets near the bed meant no lights to read before sleep. The socket for the kettle is about 2 inches off the floor, difficult with old hands to get the plug to go in and the kettle had to sit on the floor.In the bathroom there's nowhere to hang a towel or put your toiletriesI did see the fittings for a shelf but no shelf.Still would recommend for a stay but hopefully they upgrade just a wee bit.

Just had the privilege of sharing someone's birthday meal there with 60 guests. Food was well cooked, tasty and hot. Service was very good from beginning to cake and tea/coffee at the end.

This is such a atmospheric place , the staff are so friendly , the local custom are welcoming , the food is fantastic. I thourely recommend .this place will stay in your heart as somewhere you have to return too . we sure will .Food & drinks: Complements to the chef , all dishes were so delicious.

As soon as we walked into the Ugie Hotel, we were welcomed. We mentioned that my partners mother was born in Keith, and they were so helpful in mentioning people who have the same family name, which was so nice of them. Everyone was pleasant and professional. Our meal was extremely delicious and well presented. We loved the food, Mmmm.. Yes, we will go back again and again.
We came from Dundee up to the Ugie for a family get together and may I say the staff were outstanding and the food was lovely,I had the steak pie which was one of the best I've had in a long time,So much tender tasty beef accompanied with mash peas and a tasty gravy,I actually had so much meat I couldn't eat my beautiful looking sticky toffee pudding,but didn't go to waste as it was devoured by another family member,Price of drinks was good aswell,with a grand selection,The other patrons who drank in the bar were all very friendly and always eager to chat ,We had a family room with 2 double beds with one bathroom,which was just fine with us.Breakfast was out of this world,full plate of all the usual breakfast suspects,very enjoyable indeed ,I would definitely recommend and will be staying again in future,Only thing I would say is ,I expect a family room to be slightly cheaper than 2 separate rooms.But all round great stay and sleep.
