“I came for lunch today with friends and will definitely be back soon The lunches were all absolutely perfect. The side salad was amazing and the humous was so lovely. Best cafe visited for vegetarian options also. We then had a sweet treat which were delicious. The yogurt flapjack was so good. Everyone who came to our table were polite and friendly. The cafe itself had such a lovely, warm, friendly atmosphere. An absolutely perfect lunch and cant wait to visit again.”

“Just been in for a birthday treat afternoon tea whilst on holiday in Kelso … never have I ever had an afternoon tea with as much delicious food so much so that we couldn’t even start on the sweet treats, the selection was amazing, the staff were fantastic and the whole cafe sang happy birthday to myself and another guest. Great value for money and the normal food choices looked fantastic as well .. restaurant quality I’d say.”

“After the less than stellar experience at Floors Castle. We came to The Waggon on a bit of a whim. And we are very glad we did!

Great parking right outside, seated very quickly, dogs very welcome here.

Staff were lovely and very attentive.

Food was brilliant, staff were very happy to adjust a burger to suit me, the Sunday carvery was very good and the honeycomb cheesecake was just brilliant.

The dogs got plenty of pets from the staff and a biscuit each, both which they were very happy with. We were offered some water for them too.

Parking: Good parking, lots right outside door and plenty more a short walk away.”
