Im my opinion this restaurant is much more superior than the luxury 5 star hotel and spa we where staying at locally. Well worth a visit. Book in advance recommended

Off the Square

This was our first visit when we popped in for a hot drink & snack. Apart from getting great coffee & a fantastic selection of fresh & tempting cakes/traybakes, it was the lovely atmosphere and outstandingly friendly & helpful service that impressed even more. We left feeling like valued customers and loved the banter of the waitress - just a lovely lovely experience. Can't wait to return to try other goodies on offer.

Rutherfords Micropub Kelso

Im a big fan of the independent micropub concept. Found this one to be a cosy place in nice setting and with outdoor seating, in the main Kelso square. Food choices yummy but limited, and a decent pint to wash it down! Will happily return.

The Cobbles - Freehouse & Dining

Really surprised by this lovely Gastro pub situated in the heart of Kelso town centre. They accommodated 4 adults and 2 children without any issues at all. The menu was absolutely delicious and the prices were incredibly reasonable. I had a delicious home made kebab, my partner had a great vegetarian bean burger and our guests had pasta and the steak pie. When combined with a pleasant drinks menu and a lovely host it was a really memorable meal in a town where really good eats are few and far between. Highly recommend it either if you’re staying locally or need somewhere to pop in on your travels either further north, or down south.

Salt’N’Fire

Great food, great value and great service from Lucy. Didn't get her colleagues names but they were equally as attentive, friendly and professional. Huge compliments to the chef. We were there on a quiet night but still, the atmosphere was still enjoyable and engaging.

Black Swan Hotel

The room was great. Beds could be more comfortable and the window didn't shut properly.The staff are lovely and the breakfast was lovely!Nearby activities: In the centre ,so very close to everything ie, the races which we were there forWalkability: Great locationFood & drinks: Breakfast was fantastic. The bar didn't sell food but they did supply pies when watching the rugby- went down a treat!

The Waggon

We loved the food, it was excellent. We had the steak & ale pie, the gravy was so rich, mmm. And a large fish & chips. We both had lovely desserts. We had the cheese cake & ice cream and the waffle ?. Staff were all very friendly. Will definitely be back.Parking: We really needed a disabled parking space but managed to drop off the passengers.

1905 Bar

Good beer and service up until the bar staff failed to deal with two guys squaring up to each other with one who was very drunk and aggressively shouting threatening obscenities across the bar. Should have been thrown out and/or the police called. Neither happened so we left.

Tweed Cafe & Restaurant

Delicious food. Large portions. Incredibly friendly and polite staff. We both had the salmon grill off the dinner menu, which was accompanied by bulgur and salad. Google times do not accurately reflect current operating hours

SCHLOSS Roxburghe, part of Destination by Hyatt

Came here for an afternoon tea and spa day. Luxury premise, beautiful surroundings, relaxing spa with outdoor heated pool, hot tub and two saunas all outdoors. The afternoon tea was luxury and on par with the Balmoral Hotel and Gleneagles. Tea, sparkling wine, amuse bouche, and two platters - savoury and sweet.

Terrace Cafe

Most helpful staff, lovely service. Does get busy so booking a table is recommended. I had delicious kedgeree while my husband enjoyed roasted pheasant. Nice food, very happy with the service

Teviot Game Fare Smokery Ltd

Went today with my husband and daughter The food was delightful we had a three course meal, service was great and staff very attentive. The gift shop was great also lots of local produce. Would definitely come again

Staying in the borders for the weekend and fancied an Indians and this place was 10/10! Curry had so much flavour and the chips/rice were perfect? Also threw in some free poppadoms for us! Thanks guys. Will be back!

The Cream Chimneys

Lovely dog friendly cafe, thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The coffee was the best we've had in Scotland so far and we've enjoyed all so far!! Husband had the quesadilla and I had a sandwich, both very nice. I had the carrot and orange cake which was lovely, especially since it had the cream cheese topping rather than icing (my favourite!). Husband managed to find room for the scotch pancakes which he loved. If we are ever this way again we will definitely be back. The staff were lovely and chatty too, lovely place ?

Cross Keys Hotel

My husband and I called in for lunch. All of the staff were very welcoming, friendly and polite. The service was good along with the food. I'd recommend this place.

Lordy lord if anyone from south edinburgh (burdiehouse area) reads this then this is the closest to Linda's as your going to get! I was recommended this place by a mate and she hit the nail in the head the food was out of this world fresh oil veg cooked perfect, their sweet and sour chilli beef was that good you would sell your yer maw for a plate of it everything was 10/10 deffo my go to place now 1 trillion %

Rendezvouz Fish & Chip Shop

I had a nice pizza, freshly cooked. The base had a slight crispness to it which I found unusual but was nice. There was plenty of topping and cheese. The service wasn’t very personal and I was left standing for a while before being acknowledged despite there being three staff members in view. Prices are reasonable. Street parking (free) outside the takeaway. I noticed that delivery is also available but also witnessed them taking the phone out of the socket as the phone wouldn’t stop ringing.

China Red

We rang through a large order for nine people for delivery to Stitchil. Excellent service over the phone, really helpful and friendly lady who took our order. 45 minutes was the estimate for delivery and it arrived on time. Important bit is the food! This was lovely, the only negative was that we couldn't finish it all as very generous portions?

The Townhouse Takeaway

Apart from the odd mistake in the orders the food is actually really good. Pizzas are brilliant, the fish is always cooked perfectly and the chips aren't as greasy as alot of chippies in the area.
