I love the bothy. We discovered it a few years ago when staying at the caravan park in Burghead. We visit at least once every time we are up on holiday. Service is always fantastic and we always have the Cullen skink, it's delicious.
We just had a fabulous meal at the Bothy. My cullen skink was tasty and wife's mackeral pate was a hit. For maim I went for the rib eye which was served a perfect medium rare whilst my wife had two small plates of brocoli roasted beets. Both mains were very very good. We shared a desert of creme brulee which again was another hit. All in all highly recommended if in the area. Thank you.
Had a great meal and great service a nice local eatery
Excellent as always . Wish it was open more days
Very friendly
Like an oasis in a very quiet town
Great place to go with large groups as there were lots of staff to cope with this.Food was great...I had a beetroot salad for mains which could possibly had something to accompany it? Maybe a pitta/roti type bread but otherwise very tasty. Friendly atmosphere and npthing was too much trouble
Vegetarian options: Could have another veggie/vegan option
Awful customer service- not welcoming at all. Went in at lunch time asking if they had a table for two- left waiting at the door - as the lady by the entrance was on the computer and asked us to wait - this became a lengthy wait no offer of a seat whilst she had a think (seats opposite the door!). Alarm bells started to ring- if this was the service before food, what would the food be like???? What a shame we were looking forward to it.
5* all round
Spent the morning in the area and struggled to find somewhere to eat, the place down the road were not very accommodating unless staying in their caravan park.
I walked into the bothy bistro and asked if they would do me a takeaway, the girls at the bar were super friendly and made sure I got that take away. I am so very greatful. Thank you from this hungry wanderer and her wee dug ❤️
Ps. The burger is delicious ?
Just called in here tonight during our short trip up to findhorn
We both has the special mussels starter and hake main followed be the pavlova and a few pints of Speyside IPA on the side
Can’t fault it at all food was really good and the staff were really nice. Definitely
Worth a visit or you won’t know what you may of missed
£19 two for one makes usual prices expensive for what was a fairly basic "fish supper. Otherwise, staff friendly and efficient, and the place itself was very nice.

Excellent food as always!
Best fish and chips. Beautiful decor.
Super tasty, small but good menu, the dessert was also great. Was very positively surprised. Absolutely to suggest.
Scrummy!
Really gone downhill. Surprised how quiet it was at 1pm in Easter hols. The food looked good but was of a very poor quality. Staff pleasant but service very slow.
