My friend and I stayed at the local Station Hotel but were very disappointed at the lack of food service at the hotel. A quick Google search revealed the Braemou Inn just 200 yards away and the service received was second to none. Our catering needs were catered for and the atmosphere was fantastic. The owners, Marlene and George made us feel exceptionally welcome and it really felt like a home from home. Highly recommended to anyone in the area.
What a lovely welcome after a walk along the coast from Burghead. Marlene served us a very welcome latte and her delicious choc cake with raspberries. Very nice to meet the retired local fishermen and learn a little about the history of Hopeman

Proper local pub, fish and chips was delicious especially after a long walk from Forres. Landlady was incredibly kind, and the locals all smiley and chatty.. Felt welcomed as a traveller
