Called Saturday afternoon 4/9/21 for bacon and rolls. No unsmoked back bacon on shelves. Stephen's batch rolls are being sold loose and unseparated again rather than pre-bagged as they have been for the past 18 months or so. Only one small pair of tongs was available. They were hidden and difficult to find. The young woman in front of me handled the rolls and tore off the amount she required with her bare hands. That standard of hygiene is not acceptable to me and I won't be buying rolls again unless already bagged. In my opinion, loose rolls and suchlike should only be sold by staff from behind the counter. Otherwise this is a very good shop. It is very convenient in many ways and staff are always polite.

It's a popular co-op built in the car park of a defunct pub. Plus side is decent stock, a fresh hot counter, chilled booze, a cash machine and en suite post office. Down sides are that it's close to Aldi ( which would rip its prices to bits) and oh my God where do all those old people come from? You can't drive... you really can't, but what's the point, old people never read Google reviews (or check before pulling out at a junction). Test your brakes before approaching.... I've had a few.... not that they would ever know.

Staff really nice, store clean and tidy lots of variety in the take away especially the soup delicious. The macaroni pies and the steak bridies were amazing this store also has a post office. Sometimes there are Qs in the morning so you are better going later on in the afternoon.
