Stopped in for dinner, while staying at a hotel locally. Staff were friendly and very helpful, service was quick, the food was delicious and portions very big. Son has said his mini fish and chips was a 5 star. Visit finished off with a kind offer of mini eggs for the kids to say Happy Easter.We will definitely return when we're next in town.

This is definitely a nicer setting than their old place across the road. There is more room, but at the same time, it feels cosy. We opted for the chicken ramen, haggis balls x3, chicken dumpling gyoza, and Japanese fries with a cola and a latte. As the haggis and gyoza were on the starter menu and the ramen on the mains, we asked for it to be brought out at the same time. However, all the dishes were brought out one at a time with a slightly longer gap in between than we had anticipated. I'm not sure if this slower style of serving is on purpose in order for us to savour each dish (or get used to eating with chopsticks! There are knives, forks, and spoons available). If it is, then you might struggle to get a quick bite to eat. The food itself was really nice and couldn't complain about the taste, if anything it could have been a bit hotter and the ramen (at £17.95) could have been served in a bigger bowl and filled up to the brim. The latte was very nice. The servers were polite and well presented. There are customer toilets available to the rear. Because it's a specialist Japanese establishment, do be prepared to pay a little more for the food and drink. Overall, a very nice place to eat and drink, we would certainly go back again.Parking: There are time limited and Pay & Display parking nearby. Access onto the High Street is restricted to disabled drivers with a blue badge, check Fife Council parking regulations as they change day to day.

Was hoping for sausages in onion gravy with mash but nowhere seems to have it these days so opted for gammon steak which was really good. By far the most authentic Italian experience in Fife. The place feels well maintained yet traditional. The staff were prompt, attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and priced very well. It's not cheap, but it's not a rip off either. A fair price for the quality and service.Wheelchair accessibility: As a wheelchair user the staff were effortless in moving a chair out the way, fully step free and no access issues at all. Only caveat to that would be that the tables are quite low so if you hare seated high or in a power chair I'd call ahead first to make sure a higher table is available. I'm 6'2 in a manual chair and legs just got under a normal table.Blue badge parking out front and on street parking out front if full has drop kerb.

I had previously said Jade Garden was the best Chinese I have ever had, this is right up there if not better. The curry sauce doesn't form a skin when left, unlike a lot of other takeaways I have had. The chicken chunks were huge and cooked to perfection. Most Chinese curries leave me with inidgestion and thirst, this didn't. Highly recommended.

Went in for an early birthday dinner. Everything was cooked fresh, and it was so amazingly good. The battered fish was so crisp and light, better than every chippy I've ever had in my life, bar one in the east neuk. The desert was scrumptious, not like most buffets where the desert is an afterthought. The place was spotlessly clean, and the service was great. I have actually never been to a buffet that I'd recommend more than this one. The only downsides were that the music was a bit too loud, and I personally don't like sitting in booths. Will 100% go back, and hopefully, our second visit will live up to our first. It's really tasty.

I’m in and out of hospital a lot so I go down to costa a lot for there delicious hot chocolate, and there toasties. Being disabled the staff are absolutely brilliant. They could be busy but still have time to make sure you get you order. But quite recently it’s gone down hill. It’s just the simple things like having no gas fit the cream so you can’t get a decent Frappecino or cream on your hot chocolate. But don’t let that spoil it for as it’s still the best costs I have visited. The staff are amazing and actually make time for. Today is cake for £1 today so i could be down a few times today!

We really enjoyed the garlic and cheese pizza too and the fresh homemade Tiramisu was superb. Well done to everyone at Pizza Vara. Staff are very pleasant and attentive on every visit. This is an absolute gem and well worth the drive if coming from further away like ourselves. My wife and I were on a break for our anniversary and went in for a meal and on arrival we met Gracie who showed us to our table. She took our order and when the food arrived it was amazing and the service from Gracie was first class, she's a lovely girl and we tapped into her local knowledge about where to do some shopping the next day. She told us the best places to go and let us know about the market that local traders put on on a Friday. Everything about the Duchess Kirkcaldy from the ambience, to the food and the music played was outstanding and I'd recommend this establishment to anyone local or even passing through. I'll definitely be back the next time we visit Kirkcaldy a well run and spotless restaurant, we'll done to all the staff for making it friendly and an amazing place to eat.
