The food was very poor considering the price. I ordered Lasagne, which was dreadful. I am sure that the dish was either a frozen Lasagne heated up in an oven, or at the least it had been heated in a microwave. The dish was served with half a plate of salad and 2 hard bits of garlic bread. The Lasagne was small and about 10mm thick. The worst that I have ever had.

I love this dog friendly pub. Anytime I'm in or near Kirkcaldy, I make a beeline to the Exchequer.Their food is really good & gives good value for money, the service is second to none - everyone is very friendly & helpful.

My partner and I enjoyed our evening meal of macaroni tonight, unfortunately the meal was spoiled by two dog owners letting their labrador wander about the eating area and sniff our meals as they were being served.
Been here for lunch and breakfast recently and the food was excellent. Nice cosy pub with friendly staff.

Went for the Christmas buffet with work and at £16.50 a head it wasn't that great. Staff are nice enough but venue isn't that exciting.

Went for breakfast, bit of a stale beer aroma, cutting about. 11.am in morning, chairs could do with a clean as all stained,. (armchairs near lhs window when looking out) Food was OK though, portions were a good size..
