Beautifully decorated, friendly waiters, good music, but the food was tasteless, the dessert was not bad. Therefore, I would advise you to stop by for a cup of tea with dessert, good place for

We had no intention of eating here, but due to the server in Alfies informing us that Alfies kitchen was shut, we could go to their sister venue, Society, we would get a 10% discount. So we thought, why not. Walking down the street, we entered the main entrance around the corner as the side door was locked. There was no one in the reception, so we walked into the main dining area. This looked really smart. It was warm and inviting, with the tables and chairs set out so as you didn't feel cramped. The background music was a bit too loud, though. We were greeted by a server and taken to a table, we ordered drinks and our food, which was their festive menu. We ordered two lattes, an orange and soda water, their boxing day brunch, which was basically a Scottish breakfast, minus the beans, tomato, and mushrooms. These were replaced by a portion of fries. The other dish was sweet chilli chicken fries. The orange and soda took over 10 minutes to come to the table with the lattes soon after. The lattes weren't the largest, but they were hot, tasted like coffee, and were only £2.50, a bit cheaper than most places, so the price matched the size. The brunch tasted nice, no issues at all apart from the price, which at £12.95. I thought it was a bit steep as most breakfasts in the area are in the £8 range, and they give you a tomato, mushrooms, and beans, so you're basically paying an extra £4 odds for a portion of chips. The chilli chicken was ok one small niggle was, its meant to be sweet chilli "chicken" not sweet chilli "veg!" More chicken needed. Again, at £8.95 it was a little expensive for a bowl of chips and veg. The servers were polite and seemed to be rushed off their feet even though we were the only ones to start with, although more customers arrived as we were finishing our meal. The barman needs to be a bit more professional he was very slow to make the orange and soda water, and when I asked him for the bill, he never offered to let me pay at the bar and after getting back to my seat he never passed on the message to the servers, we had to ask again after waiting 15 minutes. The toilets were a death trap. There was ponding water over the floor in front of the urinals, making the floor very slippy. The Christmas menu was limited, and some might struggle to find something they like, and it's a bit pricey. The server did say the menu was only for Christmas, so hopefully, they will go back to a more standard pub styled food at a more competitive price. Oh, and the 10% discount never materialised either.Parking: Council Parking Attendants patrol the surrounding streets. It is better to use the pay and display car parks across the road or the multistory.

Originally went to Jakes kitchen but wasnt open at 12.10pm so went into Alfies but their kitchen was closed and they suggested society instead. Lovely setting inside, music playing and not too loud.We were the 1st customer of the day. Quickly seated and drinks order taken, but they took 10-15 mins to arrive, lattes were piping hot, orange and soda water was in a whiskey glass! This was a first for me as usually in a hiball glass.Still the xmas menu being used, nothing really interested me so went for sweet chilli chicken fries. Should be called sweet chilli veg! Far too much veg in this and not much chicken but plenty of chips.Hubby had boxing day brunch which was basically a breakfast with chips, sausages were tasty but i think it was over priced for what it was. The service wasnt the best, it felt like the staff didnt know what to do & weren't organized. Will have a new menu in the new year and hopefully service will have improved by then.

So after seeing rave review on love Kirkcaldy we decided to come here for food . Service very slow , drinks arrived wrong . Food was really disappointing dry and just not good it actually tasted like it had been cooked then heated up in a microwave both meals had something wrong . We chose off the Xmas menu my chicken was dry there was no sauce my cabbage was burned roast potatoes were brick hard on outside and cold inside . They then tried to bring incorrect drinks again to the table it was shocking and not busy . Staff seemed confused as to what was going on . We will not be back . Wish we had gone to the place we were going to go to as the next time we did use them and the food was amazing staff great this place was jocks grill house all fresh food .

Very disappointed.Table for 4 had a spotlight directly over us which was blinding. No drinks initially served so had to go to bar and wait and wait... Served starters but they forgot one of them and when it finally arrived (soup) 10 mins later, was bland and no condiments at table to improve it.My main course was supposed to come with scallops. They had none left (7pm table) and served it with prawns instead which simply don't compliment pork and mash! Finally one of our party ordered a desert which came with a tiny half filled jug of custard so had to ask for extra. All in all a terrible experience. The staff were patient and friendly and we felt sorry that they had to contend with so many issues on one table! Suffice to say we won't be back. Oh and the women's toilets were awful....

Our server was lovely, shame on me for not getting his name. We had the Christmas menu and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Definitely be back and recommend.

Nightclub mode is 100Db average which is too loud and causes tinnitus. Average 30 customers at anyone time until 1am on the night of 16/9 so not much atmosphere.

Didn't play Taylor swift despite being requested 6+ times, cringe

Bar staff lie about incidents where people are regularly spiked in society. Not a safe place due to shody cctv and lacklustre security. DON'T go here for a night out

Enjoyed a sunny afternoon out at Society’s beer garden with great cheesy tunes. We had a massive plate of nachos for two to share and wine ??

We visited today at around 6 o’clock and the place was empty. We sat outside as it was sunny but we shouldn’t have bothered. We were given a menu that was a list printed on a bit of paper that was crumbled, there was no drinks menu at all so we asked if they did cocktails. We were told yes and given a small list by the waitress (who was fine), and ordered one each but when we were charged the total came to £23.50, for only two drinks! We went inside to see if we could see a menu with prices, only finding one tucked in at the tills but under the heading ‘cocktails’ it simply said, ‘ask your server for more information on the cocktails’. So beware, it is almost £12 for a cocktail when the price isn’t mentioned anywhere within the building or menu itself.

Came for lunch with my wife and after we coughed our way through the numerous staff members smoking at the front entrance we were seated by a very pleasant young woman (long black hair) who took our drink order right away and food order shortly after. We ordered ceaser salad with chips and chicken wings with loaded fries. Then the waiting game began. We were entertained by the elevator music (which was different to the music being shown on the TV screen) and watching the staff play on their phones, for 45 minutes!!!!! The restaurant had only 2 other couples in so wasn't that busy. When the food eventually came it was tasty enough, though you can't really go wrong with salad and chips, unless the salad costs £8.95 and only had 4 measly strips of chicken with it. Best thing about Society was the female server with the black hair. The rest of it............ Below average at best.
