Really recommend the Wayfarers’ Bar. Great friendly service and conversation with different staff and customers. We sat in the lounge with our baby because of their licensing restrictions (no under 18s) but people came to chat to us and we in no way were made to feel unwelcome. Our son took his first step here! We’ll definitely be back when next in Lochinver.

Really nice pub, great atmosphere, good honest tasty food at reasonable prices. Staff really friendly and polite. Very dog friendly. Pool and darts available. Park up for the night in a motorhome, no one minds.

A true locals place with a lot of character. Average pub fair, pool, darts and a view of the industrial part of the waterfront. A good simple alternative to the fancier places to eat which were all booked up.

We had a beautifully cooked meal which we all enjoyed. Large portions delivered quickly and really good value for money.

I call in the Wayfarers bar alot when up in lochinver, Ken and Sheila the owners are lovely people but for the past two years have been worried sick about COVID, they took the most amazing covid safety precautions I've ever seen and why not there not only protecting themselves and there staff but us lot too, people got asked a hell of a lot to wear there masks but it seemed the rules didn't apply to them, I've seen first hand how people forget because I did it also, without the culag hotel and Wayfarers bar lochinver would be empty, the owners and staff will help you with anything if you only ask I highly recommend this Highland hospitality because it's real and honest.

(This took place in June 2021, however, I have only just noticed my review was not placed as my original review did not comply with community guidelines) Doing the NC 500, freezing cold rainy day whilst camping so we decided to go the only pub available in the area. The woman serving us was nice and polite but the bloke behind the bar was unnecessarily hostile from the moment we walked in. Beer was nice and it’s a nice little pub, had a few games of darts. This bloke was the CEO of Covid police. I understand people are cautious but my friend stood up from the bench to let another friend get up to the toilet and in the fraction of a second it took for him to stand up and sit down the bar man was shouting over at him to sit down. We weren’t the only people to receive this treatment. A few other tables had also had a telling off. He seems to hate tourists even though his livelihood most likely relies on the tourism the NC500 brings. Would have definitely went to another pub if there was one.

Had a GREAT evening here: steak pie was by far the best I'd ever had and the Guinness was superb, as good as when I last visited Ireland - lovely atmosphere

Rough as a badgers arse but friendly. Like walking into a 1980s Highland bar where 'ach that's good enough' will do. The locals were all rangers fans but even I as a celtic fan watching the game on my phone as the landlord won't show it , felt welcomed. The bar maids were let's say 'in tune' with the locals but nice with it. Lets just say you'd never hire this place for a wedding. Not even to your cousin.

Decent Campari spritz while we played darts. 2 hours of BBC news channel was a bit heavy for evenings.
