Sadly I’ll not be rushing back. After visiting their restaurant in Carluke we were looking forward to trying this one, but everything from decor, food and service was below par. The food was ok..ish, nothing to write home about and definitely not as nice as the dishes in the Carluke shop. We felt like a burden to the waitress, she seemed more interested in literally anything else that was happening than serving us so after our mains we decided to go elsewhere. We will try again in a little while.

First visit for us on a recommendation from our daughter. Great service, lovely ambience and excellent food. We shared olives, bread with a beautiful arrabiata butter, gamberoni and calamari for starters all of which were delicious. Mains were vitella saltimbocca (veal) and pollo Milanese (breaded chicken with spaghetti). Portions were generous and the food delicious. We’ll certainly be back, grazie.

I was honestly so disappointed, the service from The girls was terrible it was almost like they were too young and always talking to each other instead of service. Food was also disappointing. I got pollo prego which i expected to be pan fried chicken done in the white wine mushroom sauce. But it was oven chicken over done not seasoned and pale white. Mushrooms were rock hard. The prices are far to expensive for this quality of food!

Had lovely hot, fresh food at Prego Lanark. Our party had sea bass x 2 and steak. We all agreed our food was delicious. We finished with Prego sticks with caramel sauce. Maybe - side plates each and more caramel sauce would have made it prefect?

I've had Pollo Milanese from both restaurants and in the Lanark one had a thick juicy bit of chicken whereas Carluke it's thin and poor. The staff are attentive, friendly and the owner is welcoming. Again unlike Carluke. Despite the name and menu, they are 2 completely different restaurants.

We booked a reservation and were seated quickly. The food was fair but I must say the service from the staff members especially the male staff member that was attending was very good. He asked us if all was alright and managed everything well.THREE CHEERS FOR FOR PREGO STAFF
