Overpriced bought in rubbish , £8 for a kids meal ,£10-12 for a mediocre sandwich, 3.75 for a coke. Largs becoming an £100 day out for a poxy lunch and a few kids rides.

Having two ice-cream fiends in our party we had to visit Nardinis whilst in the area. I say in the area, we drove 2.5hours to get there! We had fish and chips which were nice but we've all had better. The ice cream sundaes were excellent I'm told. They did look good but being one of those bizarre people who don't like ice-cream, I can't comment. I opted for the Charlotte Fruit Cake which was exquisite and we brought fruit tarts home for later.There are steps up into the restaurant/cafe and I couldn't see wheelchair access.

We came here to enjoy coffee and ice cream with my loved ones. The waffle was very good; we really liked it and enjoyed the coffee at Nardini in the cold weather. The waitress was very lovely and introduced us to the menu as it was our first time there!

The fish tea is still really good value - £15 for bread and butter, large plate of fish n chips with coleslaw, tartare sauce and an (uninspired) salad. Also included is pot of tea and two scoops of ice cream.Service pretty quick and friendly.Building is worth a look too - the refurb that was completed about 15-20 years ago was a great bit of work.Parking: Free parking to rear or nearby paid car park.Kid-friendliness: Kids will love the knickerbocker glories and large ice cream selection

Went in with my little girl @7:55pm. Stood at the counter for 2 minutes while the counter assistants were cleaning and plodding away. They never acknowledged me or my little girl. I asked are you still serving and told no we are closed. 1 unhappy child. ?

Nice ice cream but would not say it was awesome.The service was good and staff helpful. But the place was so dirty... The carpet badly stained, food and crayons on the floor (clearly not cleaning between customers), food in the corner of the chairs etc.Toilets were ok but sink in the disabled was full of paper and soap ?
Tony macaroni restaurant poor just like up at braehead so now I've found a restaurant that can make a great carbonara and that is Cecchinis in Ayr pleasant staff manager great and now wife and I can take our friends to. But go to Nardinis for ice-cream and a fish tea I'm told it is nice ??

Did contact Nardinis before leaving this review but zero response from them sums up my 1 star reviewTook my son in for some lunch last week. I ordered soup and a sandwich combo, my little boy ordered nuggets and chips.No real issues with his food.I had asked about the soup of the day...was told it was some sort of Spanish potato and rice which I went for...it came out and it was more like tomato. Wasn't for me so the soup got left which is fine as not everyone likes the same stuff.The issue I have with this situation, is that nobody at any point whilst walking past 20 times asked if the food was ok, or even if the soup was ok as it was visibly left at the side of the table, or lastly if I would like to order anything else. I wasn't looking for a free soup or meal, but it would have been nice to be asked if I would have liked to of ordered something else instead of sat there un satisfied with a cold, average at best sandwich.We then finished our meal and on paying it seemed a bit steep but I didn't question it as I didn't want to make a fuss (also just wanted out asap as I was still a bit annoyed about only getting a sandwich). It wasn't until I counted it up after leaving that I realised we had been over charged by just under a fiver.This made even more annoying by the fact the service was terrible and the fact I was technically overcharged for a soup I never even ate.I then emailed them withing 20minutes of leaving, asking for my bill to be explained as I believed it had been miscalculated only to be ignored by them.So for me, this interaction merits 1 star.I will be back for ice cream to take away certainly but i think it's the last I'll sit in for any mediocre, over charged food!!
