Nice place... food was good... but nothing really special for us.

Lovely place, brilliant deals on.It is an ideal location to go not only for a lovely meal but also for Scott's itself is beautiful ♥️.And added bonus of a dog friendly eating area. Also, outside areas, lovely attentive staff, and friendly and approachable. Was very impressed when asked about allergies, I myself have allergies, and I am allergic to shellfish, the staff member was very knowledgeable and brought out paperwork for me to look over, I used to teach Hygiene and allergine to personal, this is honestly the first time anyone has been so organised, so very well done! ? ? ?Having an allergy can mean a terrible bad experience, anaphylaxis, or even death.I just wish more organisations would be more productive.Well done ?

Firstly, the waiting staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was ok - I was in for breakfast however and I think evenings or even lunches would have more atmosphere. The food, however, was disappointing: it had the feel of mass produced. Avocado was some sort f pre prepared guacamole - not fresh, mushrooms were not freshly cooked and rubbery, hollandaise sauce - was interesting and the smoked salmon was rough and surprisingly fatty. Poached eggs were good though. Not sure if this chain is suffering from centralised production of food - or perhaps I was unlucky?

To start with asked for a fresh orange and lemonade couldn't get it right. Went for prawn cocktail which said was succulent king prawns got one as a garnish ? my partner asked for chicken tempura which came covered in chillies, which isn't on the menu ? went for the flat iron steak which they couldn't even cook the way we were asked.

Went to the main restaurant for a bit of a special lunch with friends, ordered a bottle of wine and starters but the main courses were brought out almost immediately. Friend asked if we could eat our starters first, partly because there was no room on the table for all the plates. When our mains came they had obviously gone under a heat lamp for a while as the pasta dishes had solidified and by then the fish dishes were very dry and overcoooked. Have eaten light lunches in the conservatory which were nice - will stick to that in future.Parking: Lovely location right by the sea.

I've been twice before to this place. However, not as frustrating as Sunday morning, 3rd March, 2024.Arrived and was greeted with a strange sign on a table saying order within. So we went in and sat at a window table. One waitress was there, but left and didn't acknowledge us. We waited a while for someone to emerge from somewhere. Eventually two waiters appeared at the one time carrying food. They passed our table twice but gave us no acknowledgement. We waited some mor ; nothing. So as we decided to leave.. the two waiters appeared again from another door. I told them we were leaving because we had been ignored. Unbelievably, their aloof reply was " you didn't say anything ", I said " pardon? ". They said " you didn't say anything " . I was gobsmacked. I couldn't believe his reply ,so I turned and walked away. What kind of training was he given that he didn't acknowledge his customers until they made themselves known as wanting to be served. Just not a place I would want to hang out in. It's also got no atmosphere. So we went to the ' Bosuns Table ', where we were greeted with two big smiles and excellent service. So the Bosuns Table is where we will regularly go from now on.

Rather overpriced now, order 2 shared platters and macaroni cheese, 1 bottle wine over £150. Better go elsewhere next time. Seafood options now very limited.

Today, I had an amazing experience at Scotts Largs, celebrating my daughter's first trip to Scotland with a group of 20 people. The staff was very helpful and the set menu food was delicious. Mia, our waitress, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Thank you for creating a memorable day! Highly recommended.

Geat place to come for some breakfast, lunch or cocktails. Food is always nice. There's a relaxed atmosphere in the (dog friendly) terrace or more formal setting in the main restaurant.
