Visited on Saturday 16th for dinner with 4 friends. We arrived on time for our 5.30pm reservation and the restaurant was already busy. Seated quickly and then felt as if we were immediately rushed into ordering drinks, food etc. The waiter who took our food order (possibly manager) was pretty abrupt and felt like no time was taken to interact with any of us or have any kind of chit chat it was just him going round the table and taking the order as quick as he could. Food and drink came out quickly and there were no real complaints with the food as it was nice enough. However, my friend ordered a steak and despite chasing up the sauce that was supposed to accompany it, she was probably about halfway through her steak before it arrived. As soon as we were finished our mains the same waiter/manager came over and asked if we wanted teas/coffees at which point one of my friends pointed out it might be nice to see the dessert menus first. Really felt like we were being rushed out of the place and they were trying to turn the table as quickly as possible. I could understand that if we were taking a long time over dinner and they had another booking coming in, or perhaps if we were a low spending table that they wanted to clear out but we had all ordered 2 courses (including a pricier steak) and we had ordered 2 bottles of wine straight out the gates. We had only been at the table for just over an hour when it essentially felt like we were being chased up to leave. Left a bit disappointed with the rushed nature of the place and would put me off returning.

Very impressed with our meal last weekend. Best lasagne I have ever had and great dessert choices. Will definitely be returning.

I visited with my wife and two friends for an early dinner, and we all enjoyed the food immensely and would recommend this restaurant on that basis (noting recent negative reviews). Highlights included the carpaccio starter and sea bass special, and all our pasta mains were tasty and enjoyable. Service was good, and we were not rushed on when we stayed (much)linger than the standard 2 hours, even though by this time the restaurant was completely full.

5/5...booked Bar Leo when we were at Party in the Palace. Food quality and presentation was excellent. Service was quick and attentive. Homely atmosphere even though it was busy. I would recommend.

Very good food and very pleasant staff. Very noisy and mens toilets were pity neglected. Would have to have sat in the dark to do a number 2 in one of them.Kid-friendliness: Too noisy for kids.Parking: It's on the main street, so no direct parking.

Epic....Meal for 4, service superb, food superb, not expensive and really enjoyed the evening.Couple of starters (Caprese and Focaccia) both really nice.Mains were 3 Pizzas and a pasta. All excellent.Sides; chips and rocket and parmesan salad. Both excellent.Summary: excellent. Will go again. Prices reasonable and food wonderful.Thanks.

Bar leo was our choice for lunch today. The restaurant was empty which we didn’t mind as it was quiet. It was also very cool a nice change from the heat outside. I had a tagliatelle dish which was good. My friend ordered veal. The dish itself didn’t look appetising it included skin on chips. The chips were very pale in colour not the usual golden we expect. Never the less they tasted ok. Service was good but I thought it was a bit expensive for a quick lunch. Will we go back, probably.

Hadn't been for a while before latest visit. It was nice overall, just felt a bit lacking. No water offered for the table, no fresh black pepper, no fresh shaven parmesan. Of course these are all things we can ask for, but for the price paid, I would expect a better level of service. We were also missing a dessert item that was included on the bill. It was of course removed upon request but again, not the level of service I would expect, In all honesty it kind of felt like staff were packing up and waiting for us to leave.I probably will go again, but I won't rush back.

Today were going to stay there for a couple glass of wine with my husband but staff has refused with a reason we can only eat there. Nevertheless, there were pretty many of available table. It was kind of humiliating response by administrator. Never will back here even for dining.Take care about this next time if you are going to have a glass of drink first.
