Popped in for some chips this afternoon whilst out walking. Chips were excellent.Not sure what the bad reviews are about but I couldn’t knock his chips.Unable to comment about the rest of the menu though.

I went here for a special fish supper, after a look around the place I wish I had just left, the owner was chatty and friendly but wow the food was straight in the bin. The chips were definitely a re heat no 2 were the same colour, the fish was rancid like they had not changed the oil for weeks , I had one bite of the fish and spat it out the whole lot went in the bin please avoid, on an up note the tin of sardines from a well known discount supermarket were an outstanding replacement

Visited in the summer. First disappointment was they'd run out of fish - which is not great for a chippie. Second disappointment was my haggis which was very mushy and lacking in quality. Third disappointment was the scampi which wasn't great. Fourth disappointment, hygiene standards were 'questionable'. Positives: Chips were good! And spoke very kindly and patiently to the customer in front of us. I've heard locals speak fondly of Cabrellis but I suspect they are relying on memory.

Just got a sausage supper. Chips were disgusting, deffinetly reheats. Sausage was barely edible. Sure that was a reheat aswel. Won't be back that's for sure ?

Bought a portion of chips today, disgusting, terrible!! Greasy, overcooked, worst chips we have ever had, eat a couple and throw the rest away. Avoid at all cost, go to the Golden Chip a few yards down the road, where we usually go. My husband said, staff very surly as well. Only got a star for ease of parking, NEVER, EVER AGAIN will we waste our money on that rubbish!!!
I was down at the loch with my mum and sister and decided to look for somewhere to get ice creams for us all, so I walked up onto the main road. I was expecting to see an ice cream van in one of the car parks on the way up, but as I hadn't I thought that I would look for a shop along the main drag. I saw the fish and chip shop across the road, but took little notice as it would not have been a place that I would have thought would sell fresh made ice cream. Luckily I noticed a sign stating that it did. I say 'luckily' as this ice cream was superb and I'm glad that I saw the sign. The price paid is also very reasonable, so I would recommend that if you want a really nice ice cream whilst walking along the shores of the beautiful loch call in here before you start.

We called in here for fish and chips as there was a little bit of a queue at "The Golden Chip" - what a big mistake! The batter on the fish was under cooked and very, very greasy and the fish was absolutely tasteless. To be fair, the chips that I tasted were nice but because the fish had been placed on top of the chips, the majority of them were inedible due to the amount of fat that coated them so the majority of the food went in the bin - never again!

Got a fish supper from this chippy in linlithgow 2nite. It was beautiful. Perfectly cooked. Chips where lovely. First time I've tried it but it wont be the last.
