Went for the Mother's day Afternoon tea. Wished I'd gone for the 2 course lunch instead.Busy atmosphere for Mothering Sunday.Parking: Parking on the street might be free, but the number of spaces is few at all times of the day.

Very busy small restaurant. We ordered 4 starters on a la carte menu. The food was hot and tasty but the place was quite noisy on a Sunday evening full of kids running around the

Absolutely lovely staff and atmosphere in this cosy little restaurant. The food was amazing - the newly added venison carpaccio is highly recommended! Chicken supreme main was also very delicious :)

Afternoon tea to celebrate my mother-in-law 's 91st birthday. As always the food was amazing! A very different type of food but much better than just sandwiches and cake!

Firstly I have to say how pleasant the staff were. They seemed genuinely interested in giving good service: nothing was a trouble. Nice ambience. People having their meals without fuss or noise. Food was amazing. Well presented with a great variety; imaginative and great taste. Thoroughly enjoyed an unhurried, relaxed evening. Thank you.

Went for an early evening pre-booked family festive dinner. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived. The restaurant is not large, but the tables were adequately spaced in the dining area. We were asked to select our complete meal as the kitchen is small and this would assist the chef with meal planning and prevent undue waiting between courses. Meals and drinks were ordered. Throughout the evening our drinks requests proved something of an issue. We were continually being advised that what we had ordered was finished. This even included the non-alcoholic and soft drinks. The food eventually arrived, and although well presented, the portion size was small, warm rather than hot, and the taste was unremarkable considering the premium price paid. Lengthy delays were incurred between removing finished dishes and serving up the next course. Empty drinks glasses and bottles cluttered up our table – not ideal when we had three under 5’s with us. Overall we found the service to be extremely poor, and the attitude of some staff curt. It may well have been the time of year, as there did not appear to be sufficient staff on, and those that were appeared to be stretched. To cap what was a poor evening: a 12.5% service charge added to our bill!!

We had the festive lunch menu and it was excellent. The quality of the food was terrific as was the service from our waitress.

Had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. They took over a half hour to even come and take a drinks order when we first got there, then it took almost another half hour for some of those drinks to come - and at that point they came to say they didn't have x and z item. This is usually fine, but why did it take them a half hour from taking the order to telling us. They also then had no craft beers, no malbec, no lemonade. The food itself was fine and the place was nicely styled. But the service entirely let it down. Everything needed to be repeated several times, drinks took ages to be brought. Every ask seemed to inconvenience the staff.I wouldn't return to this restaurant and I wouldn't recommend it.

Afternoon tea was beautiful. It’s was presented very well. With a cauliflower and sage soup with to our surprise was lovely. It’s a hidden place which added to the experience. It was snowing which made the dining a lot better. Would recommend too anyone within Linlithgow.

It is one of the best tasting restaurants in linlithgow and not overpriced, and the staff were so helpfully

Lovely meal with my husband. Very friendly staff. Great selection of starters, mains and deserts. Food was delicious and reasonably priced, with the exception of the chessboard which we found very disappointing.

What a wonderful little restaurant. It’s been a while since visiting but still continues to keep its high standards. Staff were so friendly and helpful from start to finish, they honestly couldn’t do enough to make sure our visit was one to remember. The food was absolutely outstanding, it’s one of those meals where you don’t want it to end. I had the mushrooms auld reekie to start and my husband had the haggis Bon bons, for mains we had the roast chicken breast and the wild mushroom gnocchi. We can’t wait to return to sample the festive menu. Thanks for an amazing experience Mason Belles.
