Was in yesterday and ordered a small breakfast, the plate she put down in front of me was absolutely disgusting, probably one of the worst plates of food I've ever seen. Absolutely swimming in grease, the bacon was completely covered in bits of black dirt from whatever they cook it on. The two people next to me also commented when I sent it back and said it looked disgusting and inedible. Staff attitude was also disgusting and I definitely won't be back, what a waste of good money.

The best local breakfast by miles. Importantly a cook who understands the importance of a ‘hot’ cooked breakfast. Perfect timing. Not a cold baked bean in sight!

Called in here for something to eat after a visit to Linlithgow Palace. Lovely food, the place was clean and tidy, service was excellent. I would recommend this place without hesitation, proper wholesome food.Parking: There is a pay and display car park on the opposite side of the “square”, which we used when visiting Linlithgow Palace.

The staff were friendly, but they forgot to take our order. I ordered a potato and leek soup, which resembled nothing like any previous instances I have consumed. My wife ordered a chicken salad which contained something which tasted like a laboratory experiment. The coffee was very ordinary. The choice of cafes at 'The Cross' in Linlithgow is 3. Maybe one could try the other two ?

Starting to make this a regular haunt for breakfast and lunch. Cozy little place with interesting linlithgow history decor and an old timey feel. Great breakfast options with kind and quick service. Lunch has proven just as good with a great variety of panini fillings and meal options. Constant great selection of cakes and tray bakes and a nice selection of ice cream. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed breakfasting in The Coffee Neuk in Linlithgow. The food was scrumptious and the portion sizes fabulous! Vegan, veggie & meat eaters catered for ?. Great selection. Lovely staff. Highly recommend.

After walking around Linlithgow Loch we were looking for lunch. There is plenty choice in Linlithgow. We chose The Coffee Neuk as it was close to where we were. I ordered Steak Pie and Chips and what a helping it was. I really enjoyed it, I was very full. We had tea to finish off our meal. It was nice to support a family firm and I have no hesitation recommending this place.

The last time I visited this cafe was before the 2020 pandemic and I recall having a not bad lunch there. But I have to say that the breakfast rolls and coffees we had were disappointing. My wife could not drink her coffee because it tasted off and although I drank most of mine my stomach was unsettled for the rest of the day. As for the breakfast rolls, they were very disappointing. I had a black pudding and egg roll. Whatever the black pudding was it was like no other black pudding I have eaten. I couldn't finish it.....it was just not nice.

Called in late on Sunday afternoon, when many other places were already closed. Welcoming staff, slightly limited range of tasty home-made food (just wanted coffee & a cake), & clean & bright surroundings. Parking nearby, & easily accessible from street. Shall return to sample it further.

From all Scotland, the best food I ever had, nice cozy place and the portion is very big! The haggis is delicious there, mixed with baked potatoes and sweet chilli. Price is super good as well for the big portion. Also they have ice cream and nice cakes - I was so full from the food that I could not eat a cake. 10/10 recommend.

Stopped in for a quick lunch after a lovely walk around the Palace grounds. Really friendly staff and quick service. We had a couple of sandwiches. I had the tuna and cheese paninni which was served with a tasty and filling salad. We also had a chicken tikka one too. Good coffee and reasonably priced! Would return ?

Visited on the 31st January for coffee and cake. Has the Coffee Neuk changed hands? Didn’t have the range of homemade cakes as previously but a lot of tray bakes. They used to always have an amazing cheese cake but I’ve not seen that since before the pandemic. It is still good but different.

Usually have an amazing time at the coffee neuk how ever this was the first time with my 10 month old I knew there wasn't a lot of space so didn't take the pram. There wasnt enough room to put up the high chair they had and staff weren't overly friendly about it either so decided to sit the little one on my lap. I needed to change her nappie but didn't have any changing area so we had to leave. Usually a lovely cafe but not kid friendly.
