“Nice pub for drinks, sports and live music from thursday to saturday. Probably the best guinness in Stornoway. Not bad prices. Professional staff overall. They don't have food, just some pre packed sandwiches and pies. They also have regular coffee and some tasty local cakes. We will keep visiting the place during our hollidays for sure.”

“This is the informal eating space in The Royal Hotel, and it strikes a good balance. There is no table booking here, it’s walk in only on a first come basis. The food comes from the same kitchen as the Boatshed Restaurant next door, so you know the quality here is going to be high. The Braised Beef Stack was my personal favourite. It has beef, black pudding and BBQ sauce over french fries in a Poutine style, and it is delicious. Service is snappy, and the drinks keep coming. Recommended.”
