The amazing place was recommended by Jenny from Uncles croft and what I find. We have two westies, and they were made so welcome it was so refreshing. We stopped for breakfast, and Mark was very understanding of my allergies. The coffee was lovely, and breakfast was simply magic. Our two doggies spilt a dog breakfast of lorne, egg and bacon, if was woofed super quick. Set us all up for our day. The next stop was the beach for walkies. I'm going to go back before we leave as it made a lasting impression. Might remember to take pictures next time.Parking: Parking right outside the doorWheelchair accessibility: All level to get in but never used the loo

Pizza is amazing, fresh and really tasty, dont be put of by the way this place looks, the service is great and the choices of Beers etc is extensive, We only had a couple of pizzas which were totally awesome but the other choices seemed good too, my only criticism would be £8 for a bottle of Cairn O Mhor cider, really guys? £8 for a 500ml bottle is not good value for money, should be around £5 max for this, Needless to say I didn't have one! But still loved the pizza!!!

The reception and hospitality at this B&B were excellent. The hosts were very friendly and provided great recommendations for local attractions and restaurants, both before our arrival and during our stay. Rod cared about ensuring that we had a wonderful holiday and made the most of our time on the island. Rarely have we experienced such personal attention at any place we have stayed. The food served was fresh, well prepared and delicious.

Good selection of delicious fresh baking. Various options on types of milks and syrups for hot drinks . When there was no "plain" enuff sandwich or roll for my young Grandson the assistant was very quick to offer him something that could be made up for him which went down a treat! This makes all the difference to us as customers so we have since returned for more of the same. Thanks. So we visited for the last time today (Saturday 11th). We've been on lewis for a week and have visited this cafe 3 times. Lovely Bacon roll today and Caramel flapjack, all fresh and delicious. However I wanted to say that we as a family of five with drinks and eats our Bill was around £34. Which I think is excellent value.Thanks.

Nice pub for drinks, sports and live music from thursday to saturday. Probably the best guinness in Stornoway. Not bad prices. Professional staff overall. They don't have food, just some pre packed sandwiches and pies. They also have regular coffee and some tasty local cakes. We will keep visiting the place during our hollidays for sure.

I have been to this restaurant a number of times over the last few years & I swear it gets better every time. Whoever trains the staff is marvellous, your staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble & they make you feel as if they know you. It is a truly wonderful dining experience whatever time of day you go. Well done to everyone who works there, but particularly the kitchen staff. I can honestly say I've NEVER had a bad meal at the Boatshed, Stornoway. Thank you everyone.

Solo diner looking for something to eat on a Saturday evening. Friendly welcome and reasonable menu… although still trying to work out the Istanbul/Indian connection? Popadoms and pickles, chicken bhuna, rice and a very decent… actually, very good, peshwari naan. All well cooked and presented, good flavour and reasonable price in a town where others seem to be, almost, profiteering. Don’t get me wrong… these guys are never going to earn too many awards for their food but it’s good honest cooking at a reasonable price and with a degree of sincerity/desire to offer a comfortable dining experience. Personable service and, altogether, worth a visit instead of to one of the more prominent names if you’re interested in decent food, a decent atmosphere and at a decent price.

Guest house was nice, clean, shower hot, with good water pressure. Wi-Fi poor in upstairs rooms, I needed to go into the hall to get good signal. Tea/coffee/kettle in room, although no clean cups on day two I arrived from Stornaway airport, it is very small, buses into the centre of Stornaway are not regular, check times on internet, but the cost was only £1.30 for a quick 10 minute journey. If you stop at Tesco just before the main bus station, it’s nearer the guest house, but it’s not much further if you don’t Harbour and castle are close to walk - 10-15 minutes with fabulous scenery on a sunny day Ferry terminal 5 minute walk to guest house as is Tesco, other shops are located near the harbour

Five stars for the price and the tastiness - extremely good value in Stornoway. Others on our tour tried other places, but were less satisfied for a higher cost. Extremely busy with takeaway orders from locals, so clearly a hidden gem. Great if staying at the hostel and looking for cheap and cheerful but delicious. A bit chaotic behind the till and not the most beautiful restaurant, but all servers were very respectful and friendly and I don’t care too much about the atmosphere so long as it’s clean and the food is good!

Lovely carvery buffet or order à la carte. Good selection and, importantly for us, you're allowed to take your dog with you. To eat you have to stay in the bar area at the door where there are 2 or 3 tables. I personally don't mind where I am, as long as I don't have to leave our dog in the car for longer than necessary when we're on the go.Parking: There's restaurant parking to the left but you're free to use the hotel parking on the other side if necessary.Kid-friendliness: Children's menu with colouring page and crayons supplied, they have a play house for kids next to one if the tables at the back for them to pass the time.
