Disappointing meal……… We’ve been trying to book here for a while but it’s always been fully booked when we’ve tried. Delighted to get a table tonight but so disappointed in the food. Ordered mussels in white wine sauce they were basically mussels in double cream, not what we expected as this is something we order often , but ate them. Ordered fillet steak and monk fish for our mains, to say I’m disappointed is an understatement, fillet after chatting about this with the waiter it was still undercooked, the broccoli I struggled to cut with my steak knife. The potatoes were almost mush, cooked far too long and looked like they’d been thrown in a pan to try and crisp them up. Monk fish was swimming in water and as tough as old boots. Definitely don't recommend. Disappointing meal. Restaurant was really quiet so expected the food to be good. Was informed by the waiter that the owner is the chef.

Enjoyed afternoon lunch with some close friends for a 80’s birthday party.Food was excellent and well recommended with plenty of choice and reasonable prices.Service was ok as struggled serving a party of 24 as one table had to sit for half an hour as the other table got served and finish their meal before their service. Staff did try their best and were very apologetic under circumstances

The food, to borrow the phrase, is to die for. The best chateaubriand we have ever tasted. It was lovely the way the chef checked in on our meal as well, fully deserving of 5 stars.

Dropped in by chance after edinburgh hospital visit took us an hour to drive back. Absolutely fantastic end to a day for us both, service was fantastic and food was out of this world. We will definitely be back.Dietary restrictions: Everything seems to be catered for.Parking: Parking behind restaurants and plenty.Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is on the flat and restaurant is level and good all round toilet facilities.

Admittedly very delicious food, but completely screwed up the bill and argued with me about what the charges were on it. Charged me £14 for a fresh fruit juice, amongst other errors that they also argued about!!!!!!! Completely needless argument to resolve and get this sorted. I will not be back.

The food was variable: lasagne was cold and had to be sent back and a scampi dish was unrecognisable as scampi. Other dishes ranged from good to delicious. Service was very poor. As a group of ladies with money to spend, we decided not to return.
