Food was lukewarm, tables were unclean, had to search for one that was semi reasonable and staff member did not seem happy to be asked to wipe it down! And this was a quiet period. Poor show.

Mak Kevin

Only meatballs available. Staff were rude.

Food is edible, but very mediocre. Close to school dinner quality.Prices aren't bad, but not incredible either.Always a queue, and everything is a bit rundown. For an IKEA restaurant that sells furniture, they could do with replacing or cleaning the chairs once in a while - really nicely shows how quickly your IKEA furniture will look dated. Was more fun in the 2000s as a kid when it opened. It's not changed at all, not in a good way.Parking: Massive IKEA parking. It stretches for miles.

Food ok and reasonable price. Ok for inshore snack as you could spend several hours shopping and exploring here

Very delicious meatballs and soup! They have some offers and small bonuses like a free drink for IKEA family club members. Also in the shop there are even more offers, so I would recommend joining IKEA family club. The restaurant feels more like a canteen, but the food is very delicious actually, especially the soup and meatballs. Sometimes the staff may leave a few splashes of soup all over the plate or arrangement of meatballs, peas and mash potatoes can be all mixed up and that is totally fine! There are hundreds of people coming for lunch every day, if not for the serving staff everyone would have to seek a place to eat else where. Let's put ourselves in their place for a moment and imagine how it would feel. Really appreciate and respect their work! So don't mind negative comments, they are probably coming from people who got tired, hungry and stressed after spending a long time inside the shop. Thank you IKEA staff for your hard work! ?

Food quality and taste was terrible the drinks from the soda vending machine were tasteless. Even their signature dish - The Swedish meatballs at this IKEA were disappointing. I've dined at IKEA restaurants in different countries, but this one in Edinburgh is not what you would expect from the brand.

Sweet Potato Butternut Squash soup too spicy not recommended. Lunch Meal deal difficult to understand. Veggie balls from deli better but lukewarm.

Felt compelled to review the food served today at Ikea, Straiton. Waited for 20 mins in a queue for meatballs, finally reached the counter. NO gravy, NO sauce and no drinks. Apparently the reason for no gravy was 'health and safety' - ??? They'd run out of sauces and the drinks machine was broken. No apology and no indication of this during the queuing. Poor show.

There's hardly anyone here and it's still taking 30 mins to queue up for lukewarm meatballs. Gonna give it a miss in future

Travelled over 50 miles to the store and went for lunch ! Only meat balls or pasta available @ 1pm. No chips. So we settled for sandwiches. Cheese and onion and cheese and ham. Bread was stale. No butter. Barely any fillings at all. Had to add mayonnaise to make them edible. At a cost of £3 per sandwich it was robbery.
