Went for a wedding. Staff all very young and we’re receiving on the job instructions. Bar ran out of gin and two taps for beer ran out. Bar prices quite expensive and when charged for a malt whiskey instead of grouse we were informed didn’t have a button for ordinary type whiskey. Drink prices varied every time. Meals were good. Breakfast served from 7-9 which is really early. Felt like staff wanted you out as soon as possible.

Lovely location, slight drone from adjacent motorway, but not too bad. Elegantly set out dining rooms, and lovely country house feel, on entering but all downhill from there. First night no food "issue with the chef", last night no food "issue with the gas" - don't believe either but they do have an issue with their ability to run a hotel. Room door left open by housekeeping on second day, room not serviced on last but one night. Standard of cleaning could be better, toilet seat did not fit correctly, all poorly installed, like a bad DIY job. A place which has seen its better days unfortunately.

went on a coach trip to Skye, last overnight stop was the Dryfesdale hotel, the staff where helpfull, and pleasant . The room we stayed in was large and tastefully decorated, every thing you could need with lovely views of the grounds. The food was excellent could not be faulted. Overall a lovely place to stay.

A lovely family-run hotel where it felt like all the staff worked as a team to make our stay enjoyable. A very pleasant country setting and our room was spacious and comfortable too. There is plenty of parking space and the breakfasts were generous and tasty.

One night stay for work, booked last minute. Hotel even called to ask if i needed or wanted dinner as it was late evening, thoughtful. Room was big and spacious, even had the radiators left on so was warm and out of the cold outside. Staff polite. Negative was the rowdy guests banging up and down the corridor on and off around midnight. Would of expect to be nipped in the bud as it went on that long.

stayed for wedding ended up down grading room because water came out of the hot taps like rust, the room, we moved to was dirty damp and bed was not secure and smaller than a double, we were there 2 days, and the room was not clean as they placed a towel and a toilet roll outside the door on day 2 as they were busy, the food was okay in the restaurant, but he serving staff looked miserable and definitely didn't want to be there for £300 it was a complete waste of money .

Stayed here for just one night, but our room had a lovely view, was comfortable and warm, and the hotel and staff very Flanders hardworking. Breakfast was great too. We did have to drive a couple of miles to their sister hotel to get an evening meal, but that was also good

Stayed at the hotel for a wedding, and so many bad points. the manager shouting at staff in the kitchen and everyone in the dining area could hear. I am allergic to garlic, so i am careful what i order. I had a sirloin steak and was given a large mushroom with garlic on it. I had a roast beef dinner and garlic was on the roast potatoes The weather was over 30 degrees and the heating has to be on for the hot water. The manager thought he was in the lombard rally when he sped round the dusty car park in a mini van and cover all the parked cars in dust. Staff collecting food plates before you have finished eating. The manager always seems grumpy. The bathroom was dirty.

We booked in brown & batty party & was told by the owner relax & enjoy everything would be taken care of …. And it was , as mother & farther of the bride we cannot thank this family run hotel enough for the standard of service they provided , the food was magnificent, the grounds are outstanding , the staff & service were second to none , Every trip we make to Scotland this is we’re we will stay over & Can not praise this establishment enough . Thankyou

Attended for a wedding Tuesday to Friday.. absolutely shocking service the girls were all lovely however the managers attitude was shocking I have never dealt with a more arrogant rude man in my life! Called up to enquire about restaurant service to be told and I quote ' I'll stop you right there ' excuse me ! I'm a paying guest at least have some manners. Such a shame as the location and hotel itself is beautiful and faultless just a shame it has such a rude owner which will stop me from returning. Being told at the wedding take your drink place your table card and wait outside??! We had elderly family who couldn't wait outside and wanted to sit down! Safe to say we made the most of the wedding under the circumstances but definitely won't be recommending or returning.
