We had lunch here the food was very good.the service was excellent. And the place was clean with plenty of room. Worth a visit ?Parking: Parking was close both street and a public car park.

Cressfield Country House Hotel

Rooms: Great value, en suite room with a great view. A fantastic breakfast included.A nice cosy bar and lovely dining room serving good quality evening meals if required. I would highly recommend it.Food & drinks: Great Scottish breakfast.A good selection of evening meals are available at a reasonable price.It's a nice cosy bar area to enjoy a relaxing drink.

Kettle-Home

My second visit this week. Went on Tuesday to meet a friend, it was busy but we had coffee then decided to stay for lunch, soup and sandwiches...Yummy. Returned today, Friday after shopping with hubby. This really is a gem of a place, run singlehandedly by Darren? a friendly fella with a warm smile. Food is simple but quality and beautifully presented - cakes are lush. It's off the beaten track, but well worth searching out. It's obvious Darren likes a challenge, he's got the cafe ship shape, (You have to go through the magnificent beamed hall for the loo! ) now I gather he intends to open up one of the balconies in the hall as a reading room/library when he re-opens in the spring. The entrance is round the back of the hall!! ps The cafe will be closed from end December till 4th April.

The Brig

Called here on our way to our holiday let. I've never walked in a pub and felt so welcomed in my life. The bar staff and locals were so happy and smiley. They give us water for our dogs (and a treat too). I truly could of sat there all day! Thanks for your hospitality.The Green's, plus Dennis and Dave (woof, woof) Retrievers.

Royal Bar

the royal bar is a well decorated pub close to the station in lockerbie bar staff were friendly a nice place to have a quiet drink and have a nice meal surroundings nice and toilets were fresh and clean give this bar a try

Cafe 91

We can't here as my late mother in law Roz used to come here back in the 80's or 90's with her friends. So my husband bought me here too remember her and say my goodbyes as she moved to new Zealand ..The cafe is beautiful. Lovely friendly staff the food is amazing

The Starfish Restaurant And Coffee Shop

My wife and I have started to use ‘The Starfish’ as our go to stop for a foodie refuel when travelling up and down the M74. There’s plenty of free parking in Lockerbie and the food portions are generous and, more importantly, the chips are consistently great and the accompaniments very good. Don’t bother with service stations et al, if you need a break and food pull into Lockerbie and try here - I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Thai Orchid

Fantastic takeaway food. This little gem has never disappointed. We’ve been eating at the Thai Orchid for about 20 years and the standards are consistently high.

Siemo Takeaway

Food was good, the chicken pakora is some of the best I have tried. Only down side is we have has a meal twice now and it's been cold when we get it home which is a 5 minute drive l. The chips aren't very desirable. Overall a good takeaway although would be a little better with the food being hot

Kirkhill Bar and Brasserie

went on a coach trip to Skye, last overnight stop was the Dryfesdale hotel, the staff where helpfull, and pleasant . The room we stayed in was large and tastefully decorated, every thing you could need with lovely views of the grounds. The food was excellent could not be faulted. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Costa Coffee Roadchef Annandale Water

Really nice spot, friendly and efficient staff. As a barista myself the coffees were well made. Unfortunately there was still a short wait, though this was only due to a lack of staff - 3 people is not enough for a busy service station even if they are efficient.Seating was really nice, with a much better view than most service stations.

McDonald's Annandale Water Msa

Brilliant motorway services with the cleanest toilets and most friendly staff I’ve ever encountered. Everyone was so friendly. Had a simple McDonald’s for late lunch and the food was hot and served with a smile. Particular thanks to the cleaners of the ladies loos. They were pristine clean and smelled amazing. Thanks for your work. Really appreciate it.

Castle Fryery

Popped in for a chippy tea tonight and was very pleased with my fish supper, hadn’t been in for a long time and wondered if it had changed based on some of the reviews….I guess most of the complaints are from folks getting deliveries that are late or cold food?Simple answer to that is go yourself!

I stopped here briefly to have a quick bite to eat and refuel. I had the chozen noodles with a chicken breast and Katsu curry. I got the child’s portion as I didn’t want too much. It turns out this was enough for me. Very tasty and a big change from McDonalds or the Cornish Pasty place .
