I cannot say enough positive things about this place! we had our wedding here Monday and nothing was too much. ran like clockwork, staff were amazing, rooms super clean and venue stunning. even though there were other weddings on I felt like I was the only bride and they made our day super special and perfect for us! would highly recommend and we will be back to stay for a mini break in the future!

Beautiful location. Superb service !! ? From the initial contact and information request, thru to booking and sorting details, everything was easy and well explained. The actual stay. Where to start.. the staff are brilliant. The location is awesome. Beautiful chapel, great rooms. Gardens with lots of photo opportunities. The food is delicious and the whole experience was just fantastic !!

I was travelling on business so was a bit surprised to find myself surrounded by brides and wedding parties! However it’s quite close to Gretna Green so I shouldn’t have been that surprised I suppose. The staff were all lovely, food was good and the rooms were acceptable if a little dated.
Noteworthy details: The dining area is fairly small and, due to the wedding parties, it can be difficult to find a table. I had to wait half an hour to get a table that wasn’t right next to a wedding group. Not sure if you can reserve a table but I would recommend mentioning it when you check in.

We arrived late and the first impression was that it was worn. But when we saw it in the morning it had a completely different expression. The room was not so cozy. But the bed was surprisingly really good. Good pillows and nice duvet. The shower super good. The breakfast was good and the service hereditary and helpful. All in all, a really good pit stop.

Staff and service are very good, however some issues we had with our room were not attended to even after reporting them, and for a wedding venue the quality of food is appalling we were very disappointed, not cooked properly and was more like food from a very basic chain pub not wedding fare at all! And our room was the bridal suite one bedside light didn't work you'd think light fittings would be checked before any guests arrive!, and the small fridge was hardly worth having as could only hold a bottle of wine
Food and drinks: Very poor quality food for a wedding venue more your basic chain pub food not expected of what is deemed a prestigious wedding venue, absolutely appalling our guests were very disappointed. Not cooked properly, either dry and over cooked or stone cold
