Friendly, welcoming and fresh! Delicious seafood and lovely staff. A most enjoyable lunch but must pay with cash (ATM across the road).

Outstanding lunch and gluten free! I thoroughly enjoyed the clam & prawn chowder-- delicious with an incredible gluten-free bun. My husband loved the haddock pie. Great wine and beer options and wonderful service! Great prices too!

I ate here with my family for lunch and had a great experience. We all had the soup of some sort. The food was very good and came out fast. The server was very friendly and helpful. We had a good experience.

Great food. Absolutely delicious smoked haddock pie and cranachan for desert. The service was perfect - got served quickly but the two servers were really friendly. There were only a couple of tables filled tonight, so the atmosphere wasn't exactly buzzing, but it felt like a friendly, comfortable place that I'd be really happy to visit again.

This is the second time back to the Fishmarket as it has afew vegetarian options on the menu. I had the cauliflower curry with basmati rice, followed by raspberry cranachan which were both tasty. The waiting staff are lovely here, very chatty and helpful. I’ve enjoyed it here both times.

Not a proper fish and chips experience. Nearly £45 for fish and chips, scampi and chips and a small portion, fish bites with chips. Can of iron bru and curry sauce. The curry sauce was not proper chippy curry, was like a thai curry. Chips where poor and small portions. Rip off ! Won't be back !

Staff ultra friendly and chatty. If you’re after a light lunch just order from the starter menu and then don’t comment on the prices!!! Prawn and scallop chowder (and bread) was plentiful and DELICIOUS. With a glass of chilled white wine came to about £40 which was amazing value for money. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Fish and chips were fine. Nothing special but tasty enough. The prices however are eye-watering. £17.50 for a fairly small portion of haddock and chips that doesn't even include tea, bread or peas is obscene, especially in a place that should be getting it's fish from the local catch

Encouraged by nothing less than a stellar experience at other place we were dining the night before on our second trip to Mallaig (the Cabin) , we decided to give another place a try tonight, for our final evening meal on this trip. We decided on take away fish supper.... Big mistake. Huge. We are still shell-shocked by the £15 we had to pay each for a measly portion of a handful of chips and a small fish. The quality (def not fresh) and size of the food certainly didn't justify the astronomical charge for it. Save yourself a disappointing meal and choose elsewhere to dine!

Très bien accueillie. Personnel super sympa . Même si vous ne parlez pas très bien l'anglais, ils font tout pour que vous soyez a l'aise. Fish and chips excellent et le dessert local aussi, le carnachan. Bien réserver avant.Parking: Plusieurs petits parkings disponibles.

We had prebooked our table and when we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. We had travelled on The Jacobite Express so we needed a fairly swift lunch which is what we had, and it was delicious.
