Davies Brae, MallaigWe were so lucky to come across Cornerstone while on a short break in Mallaig. The staff are super friendly, the ambience just right, lovely views and the food was BRILLIANT! I can really recommend this restaurant. I will certainly return when I next visit Mallaig. Unbelievable quality at a reasonable price.

The Bakehouse & Crannog
Old Quay, MallaigAs a baker myself the first thing I always check out in a town is the bakeries. The bakehouse was first class ? the products looked fantastic. I had a pain au chocolate which was superb ?. I also picked up a foccacia which again was beautiful. You can tell quality ingredients are being used and skillful bakers producing the goods. Great stuff well done ?

The Chlachain Inn
Davies Brae, MallaigSpending the night in Mallaig before we catch the ferry over to the Isle of Skye. Had dinner at the pub in the Chlachain Inn, which was exceptional. My husband claims that the seafood chowder was one of the best he has ever had. Superb. My burger was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The bed was very comfortable and the room newly renovated and cozy. Great way to close out a very busy day.

The Old Forge
Inverie, MallaigUnfortunately we arrived the day before the kitchen opened after a major refurbishment. The place looked great however and the beer and whisky selection was excellent I wish them every suscess in the future and we will definitely return.

The Gathering & Lookout
Knoydart, InverieAmazing views, Amazing host, Amazing food, and a hot tub. What more can you ask for. Cara, our host even provided an early 7.15am breakfast on our final days stay, then drove us down to the jetty so we could get the 8am sailing back to Mallaig.

Bloom & Graze Ltd
Davies Brae, Main Street, MallaigI was looking to order a graze box to be delivered to my son in Fort William. Bloom & Graze were very helpful. They replied to my messages promptly and offered me various dates for delivery.When the food was delivered it arrived on time, the presentation was wonderful with a lovely variety inside. They even personalised it with a message for me.According to my son, it tasted as good as it looked!I will definitely be ordering more from this company in the future ?

Springbank Guest House
E Bay, MallaigWe had a pleasant stay at this B&B. Pleasant and clean room with a particularly cozy bed.Well located, facing the bay and close to the center.Our host even prepared a takeaway breakfast for us due to our very early departure.I recommend

The Silver Sands Restaurant
Morar Hotel, Columba Rd, MallaigVery friendly service (Tuan) with a few exchanges (in English and/or German ;)). Not a lot of choice on the menu (but enough), we had a curry with shrimp, which was really very good and a small translation error on a steak which ended up being a sort of stew with puff pastry placed on top. .. but again, excellent surprise, it was really good with the mashed potatoes.Small failure on the crumble which was not cooked (but the gesture was made so that we did not add it to the bill), and the orange sunset on the terrace (directly accessible) succeeded in making it for us. to forget ;)

Jac-O-bites Cafe Mallaig
Station Rd, MallaigVisited there on a trip on The Jacobite. Looks like a decent but ordinary cafe from the outside,but try it. That was better than I’ve ever had anywhere and friendly service too.

Jaffy's Fish & Chips Takeaway and Deli Shop
Station Rd, MallaigJaffy's is an absolute gem for fish and chips! We visited back in June during peak season and the food was delicious, with perfectly crispy batter and tender fish. We couldn’t fault the service, the staff were friendly and efficient whilst making us feel welcome. I highly recommend trying their fish and chips. You won't be disappointed!

The Fishmarket Restaurant
Station Rd, MallaigOutstanding lunch and gluten free! I thoroughly enjoyed the clam & prawn chowder-- delicious with an incredible gluten-free bun. My husband loved the haddock pie. Great wine and beer options and wonderful service! Great prices too!

The Tea Garden
Station Rd, MallaigLovely food, excellent and efficient staff who dealt with a lunchtime post jacobite rush with ease and professionalism. Didn't have to order on an app - went up to the till. Very busy but food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Salad was especially tasty. Pricing a little expensive, but in line with a tourist spot and pricing nowadays. Would recommend.
