The perfect place to stay. We were so well cared for in such an inspiring and beautiful surroundings. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners - and our breakfast was a banquet. Sumptuous bedroom, fresh flowers everywhere and gorgeous immaculate gardens. Cannot recommend highly enough, we will be back.

This was our second trip to the Fauhope Guest House and it’s one of our favorite locations in the world The owners, Ian and Sheila, go out of their way to make you comfortable, and their breakfast is to die for. The beds are super comfortable as is the whole house…it feels like home from the moment you arrive. A beautiful setting in a less well known area of Scotland, makes Fauhope the perfect getaway for couples, solo travelers, or even a family. We basically planned our whole trip to Scotland around staying here, and I’m so glad we did. Between the hikes, beautiful scenery and glorious breakfasts, Fauhope is the place to stay if you make it to the Borders.

This was a great choice for our weekend break. The house is set in lovely grounds within walking distance of Melrose and our room was really comfortable and well equipped. The hosts couldn't be friendlier or more helpful, making sure we had everything we needed and recommending great places to dine and local attractions to visit. Staff were friendly and helpful too and we enjoyed the delicious breakfasts! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fauhope Country House. Thank you for a lovely weekend and we hope to return in the future.

This is a really lovely place to stay. It's extremely comfortable and it was joy to stay there. We were there 3 nights and although it was very cold outside it was warm and cosy indoors. The very special thing about Fauhope Manor is the hospitality from Sheila and Ian, not to mention their delightful dogs, Ziggy and Rhu. They are great company and very welcoming and hospitable, going out of their way to ensure you have a great time. The breakfasts were amazing, we had a different cooked breakfast every day and each one was delicious. The porridge and fruits too were outstanding. We would definitely recommend Fauhope House and we look forward to returning.

From the moment you entered the accommodation to the minute you left you knew that you were somewhere special. The hosts, Shelia and Ian, together with their staff could not have made the experience more wonderful - breakfasts with porridge to die for, little touches with flowers and sprigs of herbs placed on the table, wonderful fresh luxurious soft bed linen, spacious bedroom overlooking superb countryside. Anyone staying here will not be disappointed. Sheila and Ian care about their guests and it shows in everything they do.

Stunning accommodations. The house and grounds are beautiful, decorated with an eye for beauty and perfectly idyllic. My room was lovely, with a large en suite bath and a most comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order with local and house made items, served at a stunning table. Sheila and Ian are the consummate hosts, so caring and kind. I highly recommend Fauhope and can’t wait to return.

We visited the Scottish Borders for the first time. It’s a beautiful part of Scotland with much to see. Sheila and Ian were perfect hosts. A beautiful house, relaxing rooms and a superb breakfast. Sheila looked after us and had great local knowledge. Best visits were Floors Castle and Mellerstain House. We would highly recommend this as the place to stay. Special shout out to Roo ??

The hosts were wonderful, we were met with tea and homemade cakes which we enjoyed on the patio with wonderful views of the garden and Tweed Valley. They were authentically friendly, going out of their way to make sure we made the most of our visit to the borders and stay at the guest house a restful experience. Breakfast was of a very high quality made with local produce. The attention to detail was impressive, everywhere you looked you could tell the experience had been very well thought out from the choice of flowers, background music and aromas. The reviews on here tell their own story, we loved our stay.
