Stumbled upon this place by accident on a day visit to Melrose. Lovely, warm ambience, amazing, friendly staff and fantastic food. The soup was delicious, the salad tasty and the cakes amazing! Good coffee too!Kid-friendliness: Patient and supportive of children.(Also dogs!!)

A simply wonderful little cafe, our favourite of all those we visited during our tour of the Borders. Cakes were delicious - out of this world. The cafe had lots of quirky gifts for sale. The staff were lovely, friendly and cheerful going out of their way to help us.Parking: A couple of minutes from the central parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible but if you can get through the door the staff will help with the wheelchair

This cafe/takeaway has only been open for a few months and is already building an excellent reputation. We ordered in advance, choosing a selection of cheeses and bread. This was accompanied by oatcakes, chutney, tomatoes and grapes and presented nicely in a cardboard box. In addition we chose a couple of delicious cakes from the wide choice on offer at the counter. If you are looking for something a bit different for a picnic then I can recommend you give this takeaway a try.

Knowing that we were having lunch in Melrose we thought that we would need to have something to eat later as we were travelling further South, so after a bit of research , I discovered Jack's takeaway and I am so glad I did. I contacted them and enquired about the "platters" that were shown on their Facebook page. The owner (Dawn) could not have been more helpful and arranged for a sharing platter to be made up for me to collect. The platter was several cheeses, chutneys, grapes and tomatoes accompanied by delicious bread and oatcakes. They even thought of little pats of butter. This was excellent value and service and something I would certainly recommend if you are in the area.
Wow, this place has only been open six months but they have got everything just right. Breakfast rolls are great and their home baked cakes are a delight. Lovely lattes too and really welcoming staff especially the lovely Natalie.

Picked up a BLT bagel and iced coffee in passing today. Delicious!! Would definitely recommend stopping in for breakfast or lunch, lots on offer.

Lovely place in Melrose. Friendly and warm staff, and the chicken burger I ordered was very well made. Delicious heated bun, deliciously seasoned chicken, nice sauce and fresh salad in the burger. Very good. Impressed.
