Used the At Home Service. Food was gorgeous - rich flavours and melt in the mouth textures. We had the salmon wellington, dauphinoise potatoes, and raspberry cheesecake. Will use this service again.

Delicious local food, divine presentation, cosy atmosphere, very rural and adds to the farm to table vibe of this place.

Amazing high quality menu, yet very relaxed and friendly service.

While this restaurant advertises itself as ‘casual dining’, we found the food to be of a quality rarely found in this part of Scotland. The ambiance was comfortable, and the service professional, friendly and efficient. The menu is well-balanced, and I understand it changes weekly to best showcase the freshest local ingredients as they come into season. Every dish on the comfortingly compact menu is a triumph of carefully chosen elements, and everything we chose between us was faultless and perfectly cooked. Seasons is a remarkable find, given that this understated establishment provides a food experience that sits comfortably among the top restaurants we’ve encountered. I wish we lived closer, but inevitably we’ll soon make the trip from Wales to dine here again; it really is that good!

Another wonderful evening at Seasons. Always enjoy dining at Seasons whilst visiting the Borders. Lovely atmosphere, most attentive staff and a delicious menu stocked full of locally sourced produce. Can’t wait to return later in the year.

Great quality food and lovely atmosphere, bit on the pricey side but I had probably one of the best steaks I've ever had!

I apologize for my English. My review will be divided into +/-The cuisine is just incredible. We tried steak, fish and chicken.Serving, taste, on top, thank you. What I didn't like was where we sat, we sat between the refrigerators and the shelves of the store. We wanted to sit with people in a large hall. This diminished our impressions a bit.I didn't understand the cheese plate, I expected Scottish cheeses, but there were parmesan and brie on the plate, I didn't know they were made in Scotland. I was expecting local cheeses.Dessert: we tried panacotta, unfortunately, neither the consistency nor the taste was impressive. The service was very polite and pleasant. Thanks

This was an excellent meal for us both on all accounts. The side bread was very nice with unsalted butter. I had the trio of salmon that had thicker than normal slices of hot and cold smoked salmon plus a salmon pate. My wife had the pork terrine with pickled figs. For mains I had Roe Deer cooked perfectly to my liking and my wife had chicken breast with a little chicken pie, kale and mashed potatoes. We were too full for dessert.

I was led to believe that this establishment was one of the best eateries in the Borders, so decided to take the plunge and give it a go. From high hopes to bitter disappointment, left feeling more than underwhelmed by the whole experience. The welcome was inviting but after that found it lacking in atmosphere and quite cold. I like ambient places but the lighting could have been turned up a tad more! Window seating out front, (why not use inside seating) was quite chilly and didn’t really get any warmer as other people arrived. A little background music would have helped ‘lift’ the place. As for the food - well the menu was limited( understandable in current climate) but found it very uninspiring. Presentation , flavour are key to any presented dish and was expecting to be dazzled. The starter was nice but nothing outstanding, presented poorly- needed dressed up more. Main course was very disappointing, bland and flavourless- just lacking. The whole food experience for the prices charged was nothing special and fine dining it was not. I’ve eaten in many places in the Borders that are better value than here. I get the impression that this establishment is being run as a hobby and frankly it’s over priced, over rated and if this is ‘michelin’ dining then its not for me.

Couldn’t see to read the menu as it was very small print and the restaurant had very low lighting, we , had to use our phone torches to read the menu, the lady of the house said she would put the lights on but would have to dim them again for the ambience! This intimate atmosphere was provided by a single tea light, which made for a gloomy presence throughout the dining room! My venison was tough, but when it was brought to the attention of the lady of the house she offered a full refund, the scallops were lukewarm served in a bland sauce on a small shell!. Overall the restaurant offered a lack lustre facility for the monies paid

We had our first meal in the Melrose area in Seasons and it was excellent. The quality of produce in the food was first class. The delivery, both in terms of service and our meal, were fabulous. The choice of wine is good and the quality is high. Very well worth a visit if you are in the area.

We travelled an hour to eat here and I’m so glad we did. The team make a big thing of the locally sourced ingredients and they are right to, superb flavours all round. The preparation and the presentation give them all a real chance to shine as well. We had beef carpaccio, pear with Stilton, halibut and lamb. Finished off with afogato and cheese. All delicious. Do go.
