I cannot recommend Coolinary Cafe enough! Their menu is top class and the service is exceptional. Equivalent to what you can expect from a quality European delicatessen.

Food absolutely delicious, my first visit there on Saturday but definitely worth a trip to Montrose (did return on Sunday and Monday but not open but can't wait to return). Tarts and cakes exceptional, coffee good too, plus lovely view down to the harbour.

Visited Coolinary yesterday, a birthday treat, oh my goodness, the best taste ever ? I had the caramelised red onion stilton & walnut tart, absolutely amazing, followed by cheesecake, more amazing ? coffee was hot and strong. Thank you def 5 huge stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just perfect ! Excellent savory tarts, with REAL homemade shortcrust pastry and good fresh produce, and of course a very Scottish and tasty crème fraîche: the best to my knowledge, in Scotland or in France...except at my grandmother's ?As for pastries...a real temptation from the devil, forget your diet!In addition: adorable traders, who deserve to succeed - good luck for your business, and thank you so much ?

Visiting Montrose for the first time as my partner’s mother has just moved there. She found this bakery on a 10 best website in Montrose and we walked down to try it. A five minute walk from the centre, it is a lovely and bright little shop with a few sets of tables to eat in and a beautiful display of different flavours of tart and a selection of cakes. I’ve now visited twice in two days and had hot chocolate, flat white, salmon and spinach tart, raspberry and vanilla cheesecake, lemon and blueberry cake, and pistachio and chocolate brownie. This may sound slightly greedy but trust me, it was all worth it! Highly recommend for takeaway or eat in. Friendly and chatty staff, a family run business that also sell at local farmers markets.

Even Jim McNairn would love it, obviously he would lower the tone at some point. He would be quiet when he tastes the goodies, a d he never shuts up.

I had lunch of a piece of quiche with lovely coffee. The staff were very helpful and the food and drink was very reasonably priced. I will be back

Lovely and peaceful, bright and clean with a fabulous view of the water and boats. A fantastic cafe for a healthy lunch. Not too far from the high Street. I loved the quality of the food and the warm greeting we recieved. I would definitely choose to come here again ☺️

Amazing cafe tucked out of the way just up from the harbour. Without a doubt the best savoury tart I have ever had and loads of choice, excellent coffee from locally roasted coffee and fabulous brownies and cheesecake. Can't wait to try the bread!
