Everything I come here, I'll think the coffee is hot, but it always cold. The food is raw. The only good is the salad and Avacado ToastPrefect service, crowded AtmosphereDon't come here, only come here for the service. The annoying part is only sitting in but not takeaway aswell

took a seat whilst friend at counter being served. when a seat in quieter place became free , i moved so my friend who wears hearing aides could hear better. an assistant came and said i have been sent to tell you you can't reserve seat as i have not been served. i pointed out my friend was at counter being served and she walked away not very friendly

Kids eat FREE during summer holidays at the Montrose cafe. That's great! My mums breakfast looked tasty and it was hot.My avocado and eggs were covered in chilli flakes. It was far too much. The kitchen staff obviously don't know how to use chilli. I had to leave the tomatoes as I couldn't get the chilli off them! The chilli ruined a perfectly good plate of food! The scrambledeggs were nicely cooked. The service is not great either. Not very friendly, staff looked quite miserable actually! Asked if I could swap a potato scone for a slice of toast but they said no and that I would be charged for a slice of toast. Miserable service! It's a noisy cafe and is not separate from the store, everyone can see you eating. Tables were unclean. The first menu you see as you walk into the cafe is different from the menu on the wall, in terms of the details that are on it. The first menu did not mention that my dish would have chilli & lime on it.

Besides the odd screaming child which cannot be helped, I love dining in the cafe! The coffee and chips are my personal favourite.

Breakfast was disgusting. Asked for soft fried eggs, bacon was old and cold, hadhbrowns overcooked, tattie scone tough, old for sure and toast was warm bread.Parking: Easy

We were staying in a self catering holiday let, and it was ideal for supplies for hungry grandkids and parents!

So we visited this cafe..on the 12th July at approximately 1.30 pm table 23 we was stood waiting to order very busy.. placed an order to be told they was no Tuna mayo or no other bread available other then sourdough .. the breakfast we ordered was absolutely shocking the tomato barely touched the pan.. bacon was anemic might as well have been oinking its way back to his parents...the hash brown tasted like stale cooking oil.. the sausage was that shrivelled up looked like it spent a day In yesterday heatwave! I couldn't order anything due to nothing available which I wanted which resulted in my purchasing a sandwich from the store and eating at different times to the others.Me personally think the menu should be reduced as the staff have to much to do.. and not enough bodies to ensure the customers are dealt with appropriately..we will not be returning to this cafe .... ?

Absolutely terrible service. One lady seems to be doing everything resulting in unacceptable waiting time in queue to order and pay. I wont be using it again and will be tellingMy friends.
