This was my first visit since before covid. The staff as usual are so attentive, hard working, the restaurant as usual is spotless, the food obviously is always fresh, however, since my last visit I found the selection had changed to boring, there were more fried vegetables like green beans, fried broccoli, and onion rings, in my opinion it was like the management were cutting down to maximise profit rather than maintaining a tasty and interesting meal for customers, as I said earlier, the more times I went up to smaller the given choices, the more bored I became, one dish merged into the next taste wise, however, at the end, their usual apple crumble and custard was as usual excellent, and given the price including a half pint shandy at just over £24.00, the whole exercise was a ripoff, I've had a much tastier take away from Lidl a £2.89. Really disappointed with this place. I was starving when I arrived and went for chicken curry after 2 bites I was strangely very full which made no sense, so I asked if there was MSG in the food and was told yes, I think there should be info about what's actually going into the food. £20 for half a plate of food because my stomach was so bloated from the msg. Also be careful of you leave full plate they will charge you £5. Whole place is just very sneaky and I don't like it.

Moved from Wishaw to Burnside, but my Dad stays in Wishaw, sometimes make a stop here to pick up dinner enroute home as its always good compared to my new local one.

Went here couple of days ago and was soo disappointed. Food had hair in it not just one but a few on my first dish. I told the waiter (who could hardly speak any English) he just walked away from me. I then went to leave without eating anything and they wanted me to pay in full. Disgusting place and not very friendly at all

Not good....they don't take cards of any description , yes it's July 2022. The server was fringing on insollent....when informing me that NO take - a-way takes cards.... WON'T attempt to use again.

2 x Chow Mein ordered, big portions in polystyrene containers, very average at best, salty and a bit stodgy. The special was one of the poorest I’ve had and I have had some excellent ones with proper king prawn and chicken included but not with this. Much of it went into food waste bag.
Had a lovely lunch the food was piping hot and lots of variety the beef curry was delish, all round well but when I went to pay I was shocked at the prices, £14.99 per head lunch that is dear I wouldn't rush back as too expensive for a lunch. Little more about the waiters give us time to enjoy they were round as soon as you put your cutlery down,

Visited here today with my husband and 2boys who are autistic, after finishing my husband paid the bill and had to leave for work,I took my youngest son to change his nappy before heading home when I was surrounded by 10 males who wouldn't let me leave as said I hadn't paid the bill,they wouldn't listen and had my kids and myself in tears,after they realised I had paid they didn't even apologise. ???

i always loved to go to hup lee ,But i am sorry to say the quality of food and choice has gone down big time Food left to dry out ,choice poor, more choice in farm food not chief fresh made, in a lot of items much cheaper items but menu price stays the same sorry will not return ,informed staff re not happy with food but dont know if this was passed on ,if i had to pay based on meal i would have only paid for drinks

We went in with 2 kids for food they kept asking us for a mask although we tried explaining a number of times that we are exempt.. He didn't understand anything we were saying and walked away from us which is completely disrespectful and shocking customer service. Another server came up to us when a queue started building to serve us but the original guy came back and said we are full when they were taking customers in to be seated. We were not pleased at all and left.
