Our meal last Friday was exceptional. The service was spot on and the food to die for. Kat was extremely helpful with our order going out her way to make sure everything was OK.

Another fantastic family meal at the Castle Beefeater. Nice juicy cut of meat, cooked to perfection by Jamie, the big man is a master of his trade, we went personally to thank him. A big smile and a warm welcome by the host guy (foreign/Italian guy) at the door and the waitress was very pleasant and very helpful, I can't remember her name.

Went out for a family meal and received excellent service from both the host and waitresses, who despite being busy were kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Could see the chefs working hard in the kitchen from our table. Meal was delicious and would definitely like to go back soon!

Second visit in two weeks, we had a late lunch on both occasions. One from the festive menu the week before Christmas and the other between Christmas and New Year. Both 3 course meals we enjoyed and we never felt rushed. Kat our waitress on both occasions was very friendly, professional and gave us the time to enjoy our meal.

My food was ok but my wife's cobb salad was disgusting,the avocado had turned bad,the tomatoes were soft,and the cucumber was slimy.we complained and the waitress apologized but no refund was

Went for a Christmas meal a few days ago with my girlfriend,booked a table for 12 noon,got in just before 12 and got told to wait for a table as they were busy!!Still clearing the tables from breakfast service which I believe finished at 10am,plenty of staff working but stood around doing nothing,2 staff behind the bar having a drink and chatting to each other when they should of been setting up for lunch,no apology from the manager about the wait and no drinks offered while we waited,another table of 8 people walked out shortly before we left,so 10 people walk out and the staff didn't seem bothered!!Well beefeater can obviously afford to lose customers,won't be going back!went to the capelrig pub over the road and got served a beautiful 3 course Christmas Dinner,recommend the capelrig for food

Yet again the beefeater gave us a great lunch. The staff are great and they do work their socks off during the lunch. All of the food was cooked properly and was piping hot. I'm still shocked when people pay their bills and don't tip. Anyway I did. To the woman who didn't mover her seat to let my wife past in her wheel chair even though I asked. Sorry unprintable. Great lunch and thanks again the staff at beefeater .
