I'd travelled from near Birmingham to stay in this hotel as it was close to my son's flat. I had stayed here before and found the price reasonable. But this time it was £148 a night for what I would describe as a "no frills basic room". I had paid a small amount extra to allow for late cancellation but nonetheless I felt the price was excessive. It was also out of line with other Premier Inns in Glasgow. In my view it was not worth the £148 for a "no frills" night. In addition, I did not feel the bathroom was as clean as it could have been: black marks on the tile grout and skirting boards that had seen better days. On the plus side, the welcome was very good and efficient, the room was quiet, the bed comfortable and the parking free. I also had a glass of wine in the bar/restaurant next door and that was good (and cheap).

Given a room near reception which felt safe for a solo traveller. Donna at reception was very friendly. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable. There were some unexpected gifts in my room too. A lovely surprise.

Great stay, good location, kind staff, comfortable bed and good breakfast, great value for money. Would definitely stay again. Booking in and out was effortless. although, I did have to call the help line to make the actual booking as the website wasn't very good

Very clean and comfortable room thanks to Donna, who helped with our request to be on the top floor in a quiet area. Looking forward to seeing the updates and changes that are just starting. See you all again soon Thank you

I have mobility issues so I generally choose the Premier Inns as they provide either wet rooms or a low bath. Beds are also lower therefore easier to access. Emergency cords are in the rooms in case help is required. Rooms tend to be close to the lifts therefore reducing time to get to the provided room. All very good at the Newton Mearns hotel, especially if you require quick access to the motorway. Only issue is the lack of WiFi, which is absolutely abysmal. This is a problem for most of that area and I can only imagine would not be suitable for a business trip.

Clean, fresh, and tidy. The internet is a little slow. Smoking at the main door is a problem and should be banished to a less public area. The food in the adjoining beefeater was great. The portions were well sized. The bar was, at times a little slow. Apart from that, no complaints.

I didn't actually manage to stay at this hotel. I did checkin as normal but when i got to my room, i noticed i had zero reception on my work and personal mobile. I asked reception who said the hotel has no phone reception due its location. if you need to use your mobile phone, you will struggle at this hotel. Also, i was shown to Room 2 which is a disabled room (i am not disabled) and which needs some serious updating. The room was dated and needed some serious modernisation. I cant speak for the other rooms.

Like a fancy prison. Overpriced. Terrible WiFi unless you pay an extra £5 per night. Very little in the area, so you're forced to spend more in the overpriced restaurant. Windows don't open, but they say not to worry as there's a constant stream of fresh air which sounds good until you try and sleep, then all you can hear is the fan that you can't turn off. Staff is friendly, though
