“The Wild Flour used to be a bakery, then an art gallery and now it is a comfortable family run cafe serving freshly cooked meals and still host to an interesting range of local artist's work in the entrance. Lovely comfy sofas, chalk and blackboard and a small play area will keep the children occupied while you enjoy your meal. Here you will find a good menu serving a range of hot food, and haggis and fruit chutney along with the biggest scones I have ever come across!! A speciality is the delicious home baked cakes displayed on a shelf, Belgian hot chocolate and a generous choice of other hot and cold drinks. At the back of the restaurant is a view over an enchanting small garden. The staff are warm and friendly and everything ticks along nicely. If you are looking for a laid back place to anchor while you enjoy a peaceful lunch in an unhurried atmosphere, consider the Wild Flour at Newtonmore.”

“Antlers is a highland cafe in the mountain village of Newtonmore. It is located on the high street and is spotlessly clean and uncluttered with a menu that caters to carnivores and vegetarians alike. The food is home cooked and delicious, the staff are warm and friendly, and the seating is comfortable and spacious. There are tables out the back too for when the sun shines. It is child and pet friendly, and they have a high chair to make it easier to accommodate the baby round the table with everyone else. Clientele are mainly locals with some passing trade - they are used to tourists and have a warm welcome for everyone.”

“Stopped for lunch and was surprised by how nice it was inside. Food and service both excellent. Nice log fire added to the ambience.”
