Our new first and last stop when holidaying in the Highlands!I've read a few moaning reviews but its called 'Snack Shack' and its in the middle of nowhere in the Highlands... Did they expect a 5* michelin experience!!??Its proper grub at decent prices,Great Coffee and even better food! Just what you need at 10am after an 8 hour drive! The lady serving is very friendly and polite, the room is huge with plenty of space between tables, although a bit cold in winter so put a wooly on, but theres a hugh log burner which soon warms you up, the tables etc are spotlessly clean but best of all the location is stunning with delightful views out of the windows, we cant wait to return in June! Thank you Snack Shack!... Loaded sandwich guy ??Parking: Easy to park adn lots of it.Kid-friendliness: Lots of space for kids to run around.Wheelchair accessibility: Its got no steps.

Stopped for lunch and was surprised by how nice it was inside. Food and service both excellent. Nice log fire added to the ambience.

Wear your coat inside, drink and eat as quick as possible as your food and drink WILL go cold, if it even arrives warm. The whole place is freezing, toilets are in terrible condition, one working toilet for the ladies that had no lights working. The floor was so so slippery. Hardly anything available on the menu. One girl on the front taking orders and giving out food from the kitchen. Food is very cheap and not tasty. Save your money and drive onto the next stop for food.

The food was tasty, and the quantity of all the items that I ordered was huge. The staff were friendly with amazing service. Overall, I had a good lunch experience at this place.

Stopped here on Saturday on the way to Ullapool, nice surroundings, clean and bright. Was a queue for orders, then we forumNd out the girl at the counter was doing everything, taking orders, making coffees, delivering good to tables when ready.....poor girl was run off her feet!!!- I think her name was Allinaura ( apologies if wrong but you know who you are!!?) they are lucky to have you and doubt they would have stayed open without you.....My sister and I both said we'd have walked out, as did, other customers!! On the plus side, curry sauce was amazing!!!!Parking: Was fine! Plenty of room

Worst coffee I have ever tasted…. Due to fact it didn’t taste of coffee. How hard can it be to make a coffee that tastes of coffee? Not much to ask really.

Stopped in on the way to hike ben nevis, food is really good, price is fair, only issue was a 45 minute wait for food due to only having 1 chef.I would recommend the food, but if you are in a rush, I would keep driving unless you don't mind the wait.

Brilliant place for a break reasonable prices plenty of room to spread out tables not to close together. Friendly down to earth staff willing to help. I've been here a few times over the years as Dalwhinnie is a handy stop not far from the carriageway and has good parking.
