An absolutely sensational, dining experience! Every single course of food was terrific. The Cullen skink, the Fillet steak, And the mincemeat pie for dessert. Plus, the service was very attentive and professional. Would absolutely go back in a heartbeat!

We ordered the Scallop appie, which was not bad'.For Mains, venison for me, it was okay, good flavour but disappointed with how it was executed, rather chewy and small portion. My wife had halibut,it was okay though a bit overcooked.

We visited as a couple on Saturday 11th November 2023. Popped in after reading the menu board and booked a table for later that evening.There were two menus displayed, classic and À la carte. I should point out the classic menu is not on their website and if I’d only looked online I wouldn’t have booked. We were able to mix n match as all items are individually priced.Starters - mussels in white wine sauce, mushrooms on sourdoughMain - salmon fillet with potatoes and veg, blade of beef with roast potatoes and vegDessert - chocolate and salted caramel tart, sticky toffee pudding and butterscotch sauce both with a scoop of ice creamLatte and a double espressoBottle of white wine.Water and breadFood was fantastic as was the setting, atmosphere and service.Change from £90 which I thought was fantastic value also.Highly recommended

By far the best dinner we had during our time in Oban. The food was excellent and there was a very nice wine list with some extraordinary bottles to choose from. Service was very attentive and friendly. In short, it ticked all the boxes and we were sad we could not go back for another night as we were leaving the next day.

We were not able to book a table for dinner so we arrived at 5:30pm as it opened. We got a table for 1:30mins time slot. It was quite busy and the service wasn't quick so we didn't have time to have pudding. However the food we had was delicious. Liver paté to start then mussels or beef.

Our first visit to Oban and this restaurant. Overall excellent. Great service, nice decor and layout and the food was very good indeed. We will definitely return on our next trip to Oban.

We didn't have a reservation, but they were still able to fit us in for dinner. We had butternut squash risotto and angus steak. The meal was very good and nicely presented. The service was excellent. It is a small restaurant, so not a lot of seating.

Just had dinner here on our visit to Oban. It was the very best dinner we have had in Scotland so far. The food was excellently prepared and the staff worked as a true team. They were friendly without intruding. The owners are a husband and wife team with the husband as the chef and the wife running the dining room. A truly friendly and outstanding dining experience that we highly recommend to everyone.
Booked this well ahead due to previous reviews and pleased we did as packed all night. Lovely warm welcome, good menu and good wine list. Great fish as you would expect and super service. Recommend.

We were fortunate enough to get a table for two on a busy Friday night. Had langoustines (which were flying out across the restaurant), fish soup and scallops for starters. All top notch. Mussels (couldn't eat all of them!) and sole for mains. Oban is supposedly the seafood capital of Scotland and this place looks like it sits at the helm. Great service, great wine too. Well priced for the standard of food & drink.
