I am here on a January Wednesday night when they have a special price on their signature burgers, except for the steak burger. I had the Venison burger and it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The atmosphere and service are exemplary. I’m very sure to return if I travel back to Oban on another trip to Scotland.

Service was a little slower than previous visits but very friendly. Food as good as usual and reasonably priced. Drinks also good with a nice range of draft and bottle beers and wine. Will definitely be back.

The staff were fantastic on arrival with our dog. Just the best place we’ve been to in a long time. The starter of Scottish Nachos which is made fromblack pudding, haggis and peppercorn sauce was awesome! ?

A very busy pub which suggested that food would be good. Had to wait a wee while to get our order made but then it was great. Fast service and excellent, well priced food. Venison pie is recommended!

Excellent all round. Dropped in for an unplanned lunch whilst out and about sightseeing. Nice buzzing atmosphere with plenty of diners on a Wednesday in early December - a good sign.Interior decor is nice rustic mix with a maritime feel and lots of natural materials.Good service and spoiled for choice with a menu that includes classics plus a number of unique dishes - all featuring local meat, seafood and produce. Both of us plumped for ham 'n' haddie and this turned out to be delicious - great combination of home cooked ham wrapped with smoked haddock fillet, served on a bed of mashed potatoes and a selection of broccoli, kale and green beans - all cooked to perfection and overlaid with a beautiful cheese sauce.Portions generous without being overwhelming - just right for a decent appetite.Overall, this was so good it's worth the 70 mile drive from Loch Lomond and we'll definitely be back when next in the area

Well, on a whim we find ourselves at the door of a fantastic venue, on a cold evening. Immediately we are warmly welcomed by staff that made us feel part of the community. The atmosphere of the customers enjoying a birthday gathering just added to a place that we will always say, "Have you been too & what Ana amazing place".The food was presented perfectly, and we were always the centre of delivery and care as to what we were eating ( Chef, thank you and your team). Great front of house staff that made this beautiful pla e a true pleasure to have visited.

I had the tastiest burger ever here, I have no idea what they did to the meat to make it so delicious. The chips were excellent too, I’m not a big fan of chips but these were crispy and delicious. It also came with a little coleslaw which was ok. My partner had the battered sole and prawns, which got a big thumbs up.Service was good and our food came quickly even though they were fairly busy.

Pukka little place on the front in Oban, staff were lovely and although it seemed a busy Thurs night they covered every table with ease and didn't rush / leave us to long, we had Sea Bass in panko and Chicken Argyle, both were really tasty ? will be

What a lovely, and busy, spot! Great view of the bay as the sun sets. The food was spectacular - have the mussels! The venison lasagna and venison pie were so tasty! Small but decent wine list. We were so full that we didn't get to dessert! They do not take reservations so you may have to call out on the doorstep for a bit, but it's worth it!

Best dinner of our 6 days in Scotland! Really delicious steak and ale pie. Same for the ham and fish dinner. The seafood chowder was excellent! Prices were very reasonable. Lovely view of the Oban harbor. Highly recommended!

My husband and I ordered the chicken and vegetarian enchiladas, being tired of hamburgers and fish and chips. Wow! Delicious! Great service. Had a variety of food options along with Scottish pub standards

Excellent menu and very good service. We had to wait a few minutes for a table, but there was a good place to wait and have a drink. Range of fish, meat and vegetarian/vegan options. Staff provided a good atmosphere and were all very helpful.Vegetarian options: Looked to be about 5 vegan or vegetarian options
