Stopped on route from Newcastle to Bo'ness. Lunch was great home made steak pie and a crispy haddock for my husband. Very friendly local pub.

Entered by chance looking for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised. Nice dining space, and a good range of options including several gluten-free choices. Portions were just right and all good value.Dietary restrictions: Better gluten-free options than many Edinburgh restaurants.

Lovely food and good service - a great village pub.
First time there and will definitely go back. The Sunday roast platter for 4 was amazing, very fresh, great variety of meats and served lovely and hot.

Staff lovely and hospitable upon entry and very attentive to our needs. Courteously seated and a very suitable table and a very prompt delivery of menus and the specials of the day. We were offered table service for our drinks which were promptly delivered to the table. Although the place was very busy and we had not booked we were astounded at the warmth yet professional attitude of all staff. The mixed Sunday Roast was excellent, well cooked, beautifully presented, nice and hot with wonderful fresh flavour !! Both of us agreed that 5 stars is not enough.
