Stayed for one night, the place is clean, well-equipped, and the service is considerate; the food and beverages are very good. If you have time, you should go for a walk around the nearby lake, it will be so comfortable and relaxing.Nearby activities: There is a lake nearby that is suitable for a walk

Stayed for one night in a superior room. It was a really nice room in good condition. 4 poster bed which was comfortable. Plenty of space for cases and jackets. Dressing robes were included. The shower had really good pressure and was hot. As the hotel is in the countryside it was very quiet during the night. We had dinner and breakfast there, service was really great, staff were super friendly and catered to all our requests. We had a small child with us and we had a good time during our short visit.

Had lunch with some friends here. Great menu choices and well catered for coeliac menu. Food was generous in portion and piping hot and delicious.

Fantastic overnight stay. Didn't bring any children or dogs but perfect stay for two adults. Very comfortable rooms. Dinner in the restaurant was very high quality food. Staff were attentive.Nearby activities: Aden country park is a good place for a walk

We had a wonderful stay recently at Saplin Brae. Our large party stayed in the shooting lodge and a log cabin . The staff couldnt have been more helpful to meet our requests throughout our stay, despite making lots of these and changing plans at the last hour! The accommodation was immaculate and had everything you would need for a weekend and more. The outside decked area surrounding both accommodations was fabulous for enjoying a drink outside Food in the hotel was good and staff pleasant throughout! Thanks again, cant wait to come back!

The lodge was very clean and a lovely welcome pack. Good information on where to go and what to do. Everything you would need for self catering was available. Staff were friendly. Dining at the hotel was a real treat. Beautiful walks very close to the accommodation.
A little gem of an hotel. Set in a wonderful location in the center of the north east of Scotland.Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms very nice and comfortable, food fantastic. If you like walking there are some beautiful walks in the surrounding area. Myself and my wife can't wait to return.

Another great stay at saplinbrae hotel. This is our second time at this hotel and hope it wont be our last. Everything is just great from staff to rooms to food and location. Rooms are bright not like some places I have stayed and breakfast is the best i've ever ate.

2 night stay on a golf trip. Rooms excellent………service and staff attitude 5 star……….Dinner for 5 in our group was delivered flawlessly and cooked to perfection. Breakfast included in your room is as good as any you will find anywhere. I am a fan highly recommend even though a bit off the beaten path it’s worth the detour.

Saplinbrae is a real gem of a private hotel in a lovely rural location, but only a short drive from local services. We arrived for an overnight stay to a very warm and friendly welcome from the hotel staff and our room was very bright and airy, with a wonderfully comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, fluffy robes and all the necessary in room amenities required to help us feel comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, great service, great quality and choice and delicious. Breakfast was also delicious ....Probably the best tasting bacon I've had ! The only "downside" we experienced was the fact that when we returned to the hotel following an after dinner walk, the whole place was closed up (9:15pm) ! .... so couldn't enjoy relaxing in the lounge with a nightcap ! It should be said though, we were informed at check-in that the hotel would be closed up in the evening with no-one on hand, but we probably mistakenly assumed that this meant much later than 9pm?.... perhaps made it feel a little like a B&B as opposed to a hotel, but it didn't overly detract from the overall experince. We would highly recommend the Spalinbrae to anyone, and would be more than happy to return if the opportunity arose.
