This place is incredible. It is so cozy. The view is amazing. The host is so very kind. She asked us what time we wanted to eat breakfast and got up at that time ready to cook. She came to the table and took our order and went and cooked it. It was delicious. French press coffee was provided to the table. Great view from the on-suite room. Definitely worth the extra per night. It is about a .4 mile walk from the town center but it isn’t a bad walk. It’s straight down the main road. I would stay here any time I return to Skye. The room was clean. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was nice, shower was hot. Common living room area was so cute. TheRooms: So nice. Clean, beds made daily. Incredible view. Towels, shampoo, body wash, tea, electric water kettle, hair dryer, and blanket were all in room. Even has USB and USBC plug.Nearby activities: In the isle of Skye. In Portree. 10-15 min walk to city center (.4 miles.)Food & drinks: Made to order and delicious

I had a promising 1st solo trip aside from the spectacular places I've seen, I had also a very wonderful experience staying in Almondbank, the very warm and hospitable treatment of Ms. Effie was remarkable plus the seaside view and neatness of the house and also with the great breakfast!!! Highly recommended!Rooms: tidy, clean and spacious.Safety: safe equipment are present and have your own respective keysWalkability: 15mins. walk to the city centre and it's near to public roadFood & drinks: great breakfastNoteworthy details: the seaside view was calming

Best place on Portree! Effie is a lovely host and her home is a lovely respite to travel. Great views, breakfast, travel advice, showers, sitting area with a view and general location. On a quiet street but close to Portree, we were here for 3 nights and just loved it and Effie!!

This is booked for us by the travel agency of the highland itinerary. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the nearest supermarket one way. Although the distance is far away, the scenery is beautiful, the owner of the homestay is kind and friendly, and the room is very warm, and you can see the hard work everywhere. Overall, it is even more comfortable than a hotel! The living room has a very large window with a beautiful view of the lake.

In such tranquility the views from the living/breakfast room was stunning. The breakfast set me up for the day. Parking in abundance. Accommodation was very comfortable 10/10 Thank you for your hospitality really appreciated it all.

We spent a night in September. The owner is warmly welcoming and very helpful. The view from the living/breakfast room is stunning. Breakfast is great. Private parking spaces are available. We were in en-suite comfortable twin room. Very typical place to stay. 5 minutes from Portree by car. We really appreciated. Thank you for your hospitality.

Wife and I traveled with another couple and stayed in the two rooms that face Loch Portree. The view was straight out of a postcard. The room was well kept and very comfy. The breakfast/ lounge area is the perfect way to start the day and to unwind after a day of traveling. Effie was the best host and serves a delicious, proper Scottish breakfast. Its a short easy walk to town.

Very comfortable b&b with stunning views on the main road as you head into town. It’s a short (10-15 minute-ish) walk into town. Friendly and welcoming owners. Breakfast was lovely but if I had to make a small suggestion, I’d have loved a cappuccino to go with it as the filter coffee was a little weak for my tastes.
