Great service and we felt well taken care of.. we had the beef Shin and the chicken dish with the bread platter for 2 as an appetizerBreakfast is included. Nice selection of hot and cold items. Great service as always. We had the Traditional Scottish breakfast and Warm Waffles with syrup, bacon and mixed berries. Tasty!

Visitor Centre, PortreeBoth pizzas were totally excellent - chorizo / black pudding (though just a touch more topping would be appreciated!) , lovely setting and space, staff really great too ? Although more than I'd regularly choose to pay for pizza, these really were delicious & 100% worth the extra few ££s, especially as the company have such a wonderful ethos in retaining a large number of local staff all year round, and have invested a huge amount to save a great building from the edge of neglect when they took it over, doing a massive structural & interior refurb to bring it back to being a wonderful space again ?? thanks guys, you're all awesome! ?

Caberfeidh Bar, Somerled Square, PortreeWe spontaneously got a table for 5 people there. The store was completely full in the evening. Ordered 5 pizzas and various beers. Everything was super tasty and we were satisfied. The only drawback: with 5 people it was super cramped to sit and eat.

Cuchullin Restaurant
8 Somerled Square, PortreeWe went there on a Friday night and the restaurant was almost packed. But the staff was so nice to find us a place. The food is very good with good size portions. Staff is very attentive as well. Overall a great dining experience. Will definitely visit again next time in Skye.

6 Broom Pl, PortreeThis is without any doubt the best breakfast venue in Portree! In the past I have also sampled many other items on their menu...all are excellent too! Although the Red Brick could quite easily change their cafe they have obviously chosen to remain true to traditional fare and provide the best food and service at decent prices to their customers. Thanks to all their staff! Fabulous!Btw....its not an English breakfast as the recommended dishes section implies....its Scottish.... thankfully!

3 Kilvaxter, Kilmuir, PortreeHosts both very welcoming and accommodating. Food excellent, generous portions and all home made. Room had all our needs catered for and excellent view from room windows.. Nothing was too much trouble to ensure we both enjoyed our stay. Hosts were knowledgeable on best sites to visit to maximise our time there.. I was fascinated and entertained by the bird feeder cage!! Thanks again, we will be back....

Harbour Chip Shop
1 Quay St, PortreeThis is a takeout-only fish and chips restaurant.The best part about it is that you can eat it right after frying it, so it was the most delicious fish and chips I had in the UK.When eating, be sure to ask for some vinegar. The fish flesh is very tender and the potatoes are thickly fried, giving it a good texture.If you want to eat it with beer, I recommend buying beer at the supermarket in advance. The atmosphere is very romantic if you eat it while sitting on the floor looking at the sea.

Bayfield Rd, PortreeThe only cafe I could find , to be open at 8am in Portree. What a find! A wee cafe, cleanly presented. A small menu but my Chorizo Scrambled eggs on sourdough was perfectly cooked fresh to order with quality ingredients, tasted amazing.The coffee of which I am very fussy with must be one of the best cups on the island !Staff were friendly and the atmosphere equally as friendly.If you want the above give the wee place a try. Highly recommended.

Home Farm Rd, PortreeThe BEST steak dinner we’ve had in a long long time.We had an incredible dinner here from start to finish for my birthday. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely on a quiet March evening. Our steaks were cooked to perfection with the most delicious chips ever. Dessert was delicious too! We found the prices incredibly reasonable for the quality of the food.The only downside? It’s too far away from our home in Cambridge ?Thank you Chargrill.

Quay St, PortreeRoom is clean, the menu of breakfast and the proportion are perfect and the staff are friendly. Have a very beautiful view of the port from the room. Highly recommended.Walkability: 3 minutes walk to the convenience store.

6 Broom Pl, PortreeGreat service from David at JansTech, Apple were wanting to charge £400+ to do a job that cost less than 1/7th in Portre, dropped my iPad Pro off at 9am and collected it before 3 on the same day, the Apple care place in Inverness would let even take the job on, so if you do need something done to a tablet or phone, take it to Portree and it will repaired locally at a time that suits you, not a 7 day wait and a bank loan to finance it.About time Skye had a place where you can get repairs done.I asked David at Jans Tech for a quote on Friday, grabbed that repair with both hands, Jans Tech took two days to source the part and the repair was done on the Wednesday and it was service with a smile, well done David, you will be my port of call for any more repairs and with kids and grand kids with iPhones and iPads, I could well become a repeat customerWillie B
