Can't say I was impressed...Maybe I arrived at a bad time. The staff looked like the were bought in off the street and were volunteering. I wouldn't expect uniforms but to be a bit smarter would be more professional.... And a smile would go a long way. They seemed annoyed that we wanted to come in for coffee..Although coffee and cake was ok. I would revisit.

Third visit, and each time excellent. The amazing cakes to choose from, and deserve the mention. Unrushed, friendly staff. It can get busy, but that's Portree for you.

Nice place to grab a bite and a coffee while you wait for your bus! They allowed us to tuck our large backpacks in a quiet corner. Very good coconut milk latte! They were able to make a gluten-free toastie and seemed to have many gluten free or vegan pastries available.

Nice vegan sausage and scones. Coffee was alright. The name has changed a bit but it’s located right next to the car parking area and bank of Scotland.

Very attentive staff (slow feeling, but if you want something quick go to the bakery take out). Amazing vegan cakes, it tasted so great I had to double check it wasn't made with actual milk and eggs.

Felt invisible, shown to a table when we arrived, all fine up till now, as no one came to give us menus we tried to order using the QR code, this said couldn’t order at this time, no menu shown, eventually I got up and asked for menus which I was given, i then went back to the invisible table by the front door, sat for another short time with waiter/waitresses passing us by, again I asked one of them passing if I could place order, was told shortly as he was operating the till, sat another 5 minutes and got up and left, very poor experience in your cafe

This place is so busy. Like out of this world busy. But is it ever worth it. Absolutely lovely homemade bakery items theyve won several awards and fairly so. A must stop in Portree I go back everytime I'm there

Popped in here while in Portree with our dog. We sat outside because it was a nice sunny day and there were floats of people here. We had coffees but nothing else as we had already eaten lunch but it was so nice to sit there and people watch while we drank our coffees. Staff very friendly and prices not too bad either. There is a take away on the other side of the sit in part. Would recommend and go back there.

Was pleasantly surprised after all the negative comments on this place. It was very busy no doubt but Portree would appear to be a very busy place with bus loads of tourists constantly arriving. The staff were very friendly and found us a table immediately. We had the baked potatoes and a cake from the display and both were delicious and very good value. I would definitely recommend this place.

A dog friendly, warmly welcoming cafe serving filles rolls and baked potatoes and agreat selection of cakes on the breakfast menu. Seatimg is.plentiful.inside and out for you and your pooch. Good coffee and the BEST Carrot Cake ever!! Next door is a take-away section to boot.

Be carefull if you are not english or scottish. I asked if I could pay with English £ and could get English £ back and not Scottish £ The answer I got was: I give you back what I have ?. You are in Scottland. Know that in Europe, the bank will not accept Scottish £ for changing in to €...!!!

Our visit turned into a disaster with hilariously poor service. Got ignored so had to go inside to chase down a menu. Said they would be out to take our order but didn't. So went inside again and eventually a different waitress again came out and took our order. 10mins later our tea arrived but no cakes (nothing cooked). 10mins after that the cakes had still not arrived, so went inside and had to order the cake again! 5 Mins later a different waitress brought us someone else's food order, but no cake! Finally cake arrived long after we had finished our tea. Wish I could say the cake was worth waiting for but it wasn't. Non of the staff seemed care. Very much got the impression we are never going to see you again so doesn't matter. We'll they definitely are going to see us again!

Waited for a table 10 minutes after being told 5 minute wait. Offhand staff who kept asking us to move. Gave up in the end & left!

Great place for a coffee and the best lemon drizzle cake I've had....and I've tried a few over the years! Also dog friendly....staff are incredible too, working under pressure from all us visitors, so hats off to you guys ?

This used to be our favourite place when we visited Skye before covid. Now it is very bad. The staff is ignoring people and absolutely rude. We traveled NC 500 in the last two weeks and know about staff shortage. But everywhere people do their best. But not in this restaurant. Three days ago we left the restaurant after being ignored when waiting for a table for 10 minutes and then waiting for over 20 minutes for ordering. Today we gave it a new try because of the good memories and hoping the rude attitude was only one time. But no.Management should really do something about this. Waiting for staff shortage is understandable. But ignoring and rudeness should not be in a restaurant.
