This is without any doubt the best breakfast venue in Portree! In the past I have also sampled many other items on their menu...all are excellent too! Although the Red Brick could quite easily change their cafe they have obviously chosen to remain true to traditional fare and provide the best food and service at decent prices to their customers. Thanks to all their staff! Fabulous!Btw....its not an English breakfast as the recommended dishes section implies....its Scottish.... thankfully!

This was the only place open when we were in Skye for breakfast. And it wasn't bad. The eggs on toast were great and the the works was pretty good. Just a note for tourist. You order at the register. They do not do table service. And yes it is in the back of a hardware store. But who cares!

The lads who run this operation cant do enough to make it a wonderful experience. The food is excellent and even our dog gave it 5 stars for their attention to her, offering fresh water and a choice of dog snacks. It really was the best part of our highlands holiday..thank you so much. Warning: portions are huge, so come hungry! Lovely fresh food and so tasty. It is set in a hardware store [Jans) which also is amazing, and full of stuff you need to buy…..

I’m not sure why this place has such great reviews. Besides being in a very odd location (the back of a hardware store, which is really not a problem if the food was good), the food was terrible. We ordered the pancakes and the eggs with toast. The pancakes were hard, and clearly not fresh. It was obvious the pancakes were frozen cakes they just microwaved and microwaved way too long. The eggs were watery and had absolutely no flavor. Overall, the food here is terrible and I cannot recommend given all the other great breakfast spots nearby.

They had great vegan options here. We were so grateful for such a great breakfast. Would absolutely go out of our way to come back here. The staff there was very happy

Rude rude rude staff.was sat down by a member of staff after waiting for 10 mins at the door only to be approached by another member of staff accusing us of stealing someone's table and the resulting 20 questions about where I was from and who I was with. Alas I didn't stay but went to the granary in portree and had an amazing breakfast. Thanks to Jan for pushing us there with her rude behaviour.we won't be back EVER.

and I've tried them all, believe me. The coffee is rich and tasty but not bitter. Not too oily and no grit at all (dregs). Seriously 100%. Also the staff are friendly and well trained. Good management here, even as regards the parking policy! I love it. I'm only sorry I forgot to bring cash for a tip but will remember next time.

Went to get some breakfast and sandwiches to take away for our day out. Breakfast roll was delicious. But I recommend eating there on property as it’s messy. Sandwiches were good but not very big and not really great for picnic type food. But tasty. Service friendly.

A great cafe just outside of the busy summer downtown of Portree. We stopped in for lunch and then breakfast the next morning.

The sandwich of the day today was Cajun chicken which came with a red lettuce coleslaw (didn’t taste like it was just made with salad cream so was a very nice texture and flavour), a side salad dressed with a vinaigrette and about 10 plain tortilla chips. I was very pleased with this and went away satisfied.Parking: They have their own parking with plenty of spaces. It looks like they are preparing to have more spaces soon as well.

Our group of 3 had 3 great breakfasts, 2 full breakfasts and 1 pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. All were very substantial meals and set us up so we did not have to eat again until 7.00pm. The fcb included black pudding and all were succulent and well cooked. We had fresh orange juice from a local provider and finished with lattes and Americanos. The price very reasonable, but the service was a bit slow. There was a notice stating that they had to close on some days due to lack of staff and this may well have contributed to this. The building is in a light industrial estate and the price is much less than in the more popular areas. Worth well a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

We regularly come here as a brunch stop when we pick up our Tesco shopping. Excellent service and great food with good veggie options. Not over priced
