Great service and we felt well taken care of.. we had the beef Shin and the chicken dish with the bread platter for 2 as an appetizerBreakfast is included. Nice selection of hot and cold items. Great service as always. We had the Traditional Scottish breakfast and Warm Waffles with syrup, bacon and mixed berries. Tasty!

This is now my #2 favorite restaurant in the world, right after a *** spot in Spain. The food, views, and service here are absolutely impeccable - it is without question my favorite restaurant on Skye (I ate several dinners every night I was there). Jon deserves the highest praise for the best service ever! His professionalism, excellent recommendations, and graciousness really stood out and was a top reason why this made my entire trip to Scotland great.

Once again, like everywhere, it closes very early, we were (again) the last seated while the waiters prepared the room for breakfastTables of 2 often face the beautiful view. Reservation almost obligatory, even when sleeping on site, it's busy (and this, even out of season)

Tbh, the food is really basic. The menu is super limited. Soup of the day literally 8 pieces of tiny fish cubes. I had fish soup in Oslo, it tasted completely different. I guess UK is not famous for good food.

As I only had a meal here I can only comment on the restaurant not the rooms. I had the Sunday lunch which was competitively priced for 3 courses. It was very tasty, well presented and had perfect portion sizes. All the tables were facing the outstanding view of Portree harbour, the loch and the Cuillin mountains. Or if you wanted to sit outside that also had the same view. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend The View even if you only wanted a coffee. It's a 10 minute walk from the centre of Portree.

Absolutely superb lunch - every course a winner. A most beautiful dining room with amazing views. We like the choice of dishes for Sundau lunch - 3 starters/3 mains/3 desserts. None of this 'starter menus which is so easy for lazy chefs. The cooking is way above some of the highly rated Skye restaurants - I exempt the wonderful Kinloch Lodge which has been impeccable since the 1970's . Cuillin Hills staff are friendly, professional and efficient. The newly updated public areas in the Hotel are very well-designed and welcoming

We decided to go posh for lunch after a stiff climb on the Storr. Great service and some fantastic menu choices. Charming waiter in an 'old school' ambience.
We had a venue booked for my wife’s birthday however due to unforeseen circumstances they cancelled and we booked the View Restaurant and we so pleased that we did from arrival to leaving the experience was superb, Adam our waiter was first class, the food was first class and the wine recommendations a great match, we will certainly pay another visit, and recommend the restaurant to friends
