Before I begin this. I would like to thank the manager who at the end if the dinner took our desserts off the bill and gave us a 30% discount. Thats why service gets 2 stars, not 1.My group of friends had booked with Forgans to celebrate our friend visiting home from New Zealand for the festive season. This was the only time most of us would see her while she was back.TLDR: There for 3 hours only had main & dessert, poor/slow service, off food, cold food, starters given as mains, not pram friendly.Problems:- We had to reorder our drinks three times because of things being out of stock and waiters misunderstanding us - which as it was the beginning of the night we of course were fine with.- We waited 90mins from when we first arrived to get any food to our table.- Mains arrived cold, one was only the size of a starter and was missing elements from the menu.- A long wait to get a dessert menu, we got coffees straight away then waited 45mins and still nothing despite people checking our table. We asked and our order had been lost. We waited over an hour in total for our desserts.- when it finally arrived, the cheesecake was lumpy and sour. Three members of our party tried it and all three spat it out. My "vanilla" ice cream was lumpy, had bit of nuts and coconut in it. And other desserts were cold when they were meant to be hot.- Part of these issues might've been because we were served by about 5 or 6 different people.- This is what bothered us most: Our friend who booked the table told the venue we would have a pram with us for her 5 month old. We were asked (rather sharply) to move the pram as it was blocking other tables. We were told there was a place at the front of the venue to store it. We were sat right at the back. Our friend obliged once we recieved a high chair and took the pram out to be stored (people had to get up from tables to allow her through). When she got to the front she was turned around and sent back to our table. She was asked to dismantle and fold up the pram to be out of the way by us. With some struggle and help from another table we managed to find places to put the pram. We were all a bit annoyed our friend had to do all this, but the kicker is, after all that we ended up at the venue for 3 hours because of poor service and NO ONE came to sit at the tables the pram was apparently blocking, until one couple arrived when we were ready for the bill. When we asked to speak to the general manager (not the one stated at start of review) we were told she had "stepped out" for 15 mins...Thankfully another manager spoke to us who tried her best to rectify the situation through discount. It was so bad, it was honestly a joke by the end of the night. We left stunned the venue is always fully booked, and knowing we'd never go again.

Poor service, soulless atmosphere, indifferent and impersonal. Awful, loud incessant pop music which was turned up each time I asked to have it turned down. Paid a premium for average food, also. Awful.

Almost a five. The place has a nice, easy decor. Quite informal. However, we have noticed that a lot of the patrons were quite dressed up. Maybe because it was the New Year's Day.We enjoyed the food. It appears that the chefs really know how to cook the meat. The duck was exquisite. I'm toying with the idea of returning to try the steaks. The service did leave a bit to wish for. The hostess didn't even attempt to crack a friendly smile and the server kept forgetting things. Little things, but they do set the atmosphere. The server also wasn't informed that the kitchen was unable to provide us with one of the ordered items, which resulted in a bit embarrassing moment at the end when we discovered that we were still being billed for it.Cost-wise, it's not the cheapest of places, but the quality of food makes it more than reasonable.Overall, a pleasant experience. ?

Stunning venue. This place is awesome. My daughter recommended this place for a ceilidh so we popped down. Had a couple of drinks and joined in. It is great fun. It good to dance and participate with other human beings. I seriously recommend this place. I didn't eat at the venue so no comment there. There service at the bar was great. The drinks are a little pricey for what they are but I still had a great time. Highly recommend.

Really nice place. Service and food were amazing. The only observation was that the portions were smaller than I expected for the price.Decor and atmosphere are really nice and modern.Definitely recommend a visit. ??

Nice restaurant. Pleasant atmosphere. Attentive staff. Food was good. Particularly the Cullen skink was delicious. The risotto was a bit overcooked (but it was tasty, decent portion, and lots of seafood). I do not like that they add a 10% "discretionary" gratuity to the bill. This is not America, pay your staff well and don't guilt trip us into tipping. Prices need to reflect the end cost.

Had lunch here whilst visiting my daughter at St Andrews. It’s a beautiful little restaurant. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. I highly recommend the ox cheek stew and the sticky toffee pudding.

We had a great dinner celebrating a birthday. The food was superb. Ordered the duck and the ox stew. Bernodette took such good care of us. And Diago made sure everything was just right. Such great food and service.

A great venue for dinner. The food is consistently good: starters, mains and dessert. The service from Aimee was also excellent and cheerful. We always make a visit here when we are in St Andrews and are never disappointed.
